I stayed at the Amata in a deluxe room last November Webby. Paid £183 for 4 nights for me and the Mrs. Great hotel in a fantastic location. didn’t have any of the problems you had. Also stayed at the Royal Paradise which was better again
Had the same problem with an interconnecting door in Phuket. Complained at reception because a Russian next door was making far too much noise if you know what I mean! Reception said that normally they don't put guests in rooms with an interconnecting door if they are staying longer than 3 days. We were upgraded to a suite and given a free 3 course meal for the family! You should complain WWW!
Connecting doors - amusing. Years ago in Blue Sky, Pattaya, my pal was banging away all night and the noise from his lass was massive and really funny; loads of complaints and I laughed.
Stayed there three weeks just as the pandemic lockdown started. I have been coming to Patong at least once a year since for a while and Amata is by far the worst value for money I have ever gotten. Stayed in a room overlooking the pool and had the same adjoining room doors that for some reason the everchanging neighbors kept trying to walk thru. There are so many better options in that area, its almost only better options in that price range. The pool areas were not all that nice and they closed the roof pool with no warning or reason long before the lockdown mandated it. In a hotel completely empty of guests other than me and my girlfriend they charged me a full price nights stay because I wanted to keep the room for three hours longer after the normal check out. Sure the room was clean and the staff nice enough, but the hotel has no soul at all and kind of feels like a jail that has been converted into a hotel.
@@Eyeballpaul84 Grand Mercure is very good, but costs a little bit more(highly recommended). Nap Patong hotel is great if you just avoid the cheapest room type as those are in a separate building that used to be a different hotel(be sure you get a room with pool view). If you want to be close to the party areas Yorkshire hotel is very affordable, has fantastic service and due to having a street facing bar/restaurant food the drink/food prices are very good compared with other hotels I stayed at. At the Yorkshire I would recommend the largest room/suite as some of the cheapest rooms are basically shoeboxes. If the party area near Otop is what you want and you value the price more than quiet Ashlee Hub Hotel is a decent option(do not confuse it with the other hotel called Ashlee in Patong as many do). Not the best at all, but much cheaper than Amata. Baan Laimai is a very good hotel right on the beach, but pricey and suffers a bit from the same problem as Amata with costing more than it should, but it only has the road between it and the beach.
Nice one I like the style of this review, a little inside and a little outside. Overview of the prices around and the good and bad points. Now that it's not high season perhaps a few reviews of the hotels around Jomtien when you get back. If you say you're doing a free promo for them 5.7k subscribers etc maybe you will get to film inside the rooms etc. Anyway I'm interested in your opinion. Thanks

Lol, stayed there July 2021,did my Phuket sandbox there £17 per night. Only 1 pool open and no gym or bar. But for that price a steal.

When I hear of the elevator is broken and six floors up, not for me…
I'm sure they fixed it the last day I was there
