Points per possession seems like a better metric to measure points production between eras. The game was so slow during the 90s that you need a per possession stat to account for that.
Bro was spot on about Dlo. I have not been moved at all by his offense, especially when I see him give up on defensive plays every night, put his hands behind his back or just watch. He’s don’t even pretend to try
I love this podcast. Lowe is such a dork (no offense) that he gets talked over by Perkins and the others sometimes when in the studio. But in this format he can express himself better, and he's a great interviewer.
To avoid the 65 game issue, use the system for Australian football league. After each game, umpires select the top three players and the votes go into a sealed ballot. At the end of the regular season, they open the envelopes and add up the votes. A player could win with 55 games if they poll good in those games. You don't know which umpire voted for whom. The count is quite exciting though its only 22 games per team.
Have the Knicks gotten BETTER since Randle and OG have been out? Them 'Nova boys playing NIICCCEEEE!!!!! Achiuwa and Harkenstein have been on the floor together on numerous occasions and kept performing at a very high level. So much fun to watch. And I ain't even a true Knicks fan. Might become one if Brunson keeps this trajectory.
Kuzma was a great defender in the last two year's with the Lakers. He was right behind Draymond Green one year I remember specifically. Being on the Wizards has made him not try as hard on that end. Fell off more each year. I feel like you know it's there.. But he needs to feel like he's on a team that's worth that effort. Because he can defend well and he's a bucket for sure. He'd light it up and be much more solid defensively. Being on a team where there other great defenders also does wonders for your own defense.
In Australia we have aussie rules players that have a synthetic meniscus placed in the knee. It’s not an option for embiid right now but if he wants a longer career he should look at it considering the footy players here run between 10-15km’s a game
Caruso would be absolutely everything that team needs to win a championship. Easy, because of his versatility. Can play PG, SG and doesn't need the ball to work. Can shoot and is a phenomenal defender. He's incredibly underrated and absolutely everything a Thibs would want in a player. I hate to say this, because it feels as if I'm helping the Knicks.. But I'd gunned for him asap.
There was some lag in the video so the producer asked to wait and start the answer again. This way they can cut it out easily hence why Zach did the count to make clear for the editor when to come back in. They forgot to cut it out though which makes it funny.
The Knicks are the team where I honestly think the Brunson and Dejounte Murray combination would work rather well. Murray just being on a really good team. Where they can even play them by themselves. The only issue is giving up guy's to get him on his salary. I'd honestly go for like you said Shröder. Alex Caruso would be even better. He'd be absolutely everything they'd need and another dream like player for Thibs. Totally his style and they'd be practically unfair to play against. If they had Caruso with Brunson, Randle, OG, if Mitchell was healthy.. dangerous. Heartinstein playing like a Starter, even more dangerous. Dude is phenomenal defensively. Does no one realize his defensive rating has him 2nd to Gobert out of all C's in the league??? 😮
Lakers could trade up to 3 swaps as well. Not just a first round pick. Those swaps can be as meaningful to teams, I am sure they can strengthen the team if they were willing to go all out for Lebron and trade multiple swaps
Celtics are trending towards disaster. Feels like the Nuggets loss completely broke them and they'll inevitably shoot too many 3s and get bounced out of the first round when they dont fall. We've seen it before with teams, they don't have the talent to play the way they do.
They’ve gone 5-2 since the Nuggets loss, while yes both of those losses were at home, but to say they’re trending towards disaster is a vast overreaction. If the Celtics are winning by 30+, the criticism would be they’re playing too lax, they’re not being challenged enough; but when they lose or gut out a tough win, the criticism shifts to them playing down to their competition, not putting enough effort. Damned if you do damned if you don’t.
The owners were short sided . The difference Major injury have on teams can be huge. Bill walton - Portland wins more that 1 championship. Penny Hardaway- Orlando Magic #1 injury Grant Hill - Orlando Magic #2 Major injury. Could've had Grant Hill & T -Mac together in Prime. Ralph Sampson- Rockets went to the finals he was a new prototype player. Dominant with Hakeem. No question more finals if he was healthy. Benard King - knicks had a true show stopper scorer. You want players to put on show but. Not at the price of the franchise history Being ruined.
The new CBA is fine.. But to make the league much more fun and interesting. Allow any player that has reached All NBA, or "Superstar" status a special contract offer. Where they can still sign their max contract of 4 or 5 year's to get their money. Yet the deal is they're only asked to honor that contract upfront for 3 year's. At that point that year the player will be asked if they'd like to be traded. Where they'd also get destination preferences. While also allowing the player to modify his contract for that said 3rd year. To help match the money for the other team where he want's to go. While also the deal limits who and how much can be traded back for that player. So the team trading for him doesn't have to deplete their entire roster and picks. You should get a promising young player of decided choice on that team. A solid/decent starting player. A third role player to help figure the new contract money amount for that year. For a proper exchange. While the player they may choose to want traded for them. Could be closer to their natural year money for that year. So they could decide to weaken their team basically. Or maybe take a little bit less that year to be able to compete. The team should recieve two 1sts and two 2nds. Nothing crazy, lets make that a limit also. While saying if one of the player's they get back aren't a starter level, or a good enough promising young player. Then they also have to give them a swap of a later year (3+away)with the value in the team trading the Star away in favor. If team's don't have certain picks, then they'd have to include another player. Preference to the team trading the star, yet not for a Superstar talent. Only upcoming, or good glue guy.. lowkey all star possible types..ish.. whatever.. just deals enough that no team gets fleeced, or loses too much. While everyone knows what to possibly expect going in. While they can also get vibes and maybe you give the team a deadline before they have to ask the player if they'd like to leave. So if the player hasn't been at a certain level for your team. Then at that point, for good reason. You can choose to trade them for more of something of your choice.. But the player would have to be playing bad basically, or say had just been injured.. Can't unload them wherever for no good reason.. or they done something outside of basketball that causes suspension type issues.. then they can trade them wherever... idk.. small market team's like my Indiana then might get the KD, Curry types if they know they have these advantages and say well hey. I can go there.. basically will know who's going to be traded away. While no one of real big rotation pieces are leaving. So this could be fun and I bet I could bring that team a championship. I think I want to try that. Then I bet those team's win and then maybe keep winning. Small market becomes a dynasty for awhile and then if they want to leave after winning championship(s) after 3, or could choose to stay and honor tbe contract. Giving them some say and not allowing the teams to be screwed over.. will allow teams to truly compete and contend for a title that may never have normally gotten a chance to. Even if its just for awhile and then they move on. Make it so exciting and puts good vibes all over the NBA.. My take on Superstar contracts. 🤔
Players agreed to the 65 rule! Road games and travel are much easier now; games are much less physical now yet players before played 82 games! Think of the paying fans please. Players must take care of their health before, during and after each season. Like Lebron!

What about the fact that embiid has only played 13 games against teams above a 0.500 record? When he has played a total of 34 games already? Let's just pretend he didnt do it on purpose (which is HIGHLY UNLIKELY because he has a history of being conveniently "injured" just in time when his team has to play winning teams or play road games), then sure giannis also looks like a historic player if he will play 75% of his season against teams with their best player being scoot henderson and jordan poole. We need a FAIR perspective on Embiid's season and he should not be getting praise for beating on lottery teams.
Can we have one show, just one, where we don’t talk about the Lakers? There are 32 teams in the NBA, yes the Lakers have the largest fan base but if you do the math, it’s still less than 15% of total fan base. It’s fair to assume you alienate more than you attract from the endless Lakers dialogue.
