Really nice looking knife, have a soft spot for Kershaw as before getting into expensive knives, Kershaw started it all for me.

I have said before, but I the Launch series are the absolute best side opening autos under $200. Protech is great, but Kershaw consistently does a better job sharpening their blades and Kershaws consistently have thinner edges and superior cutting geometry to Protech.
Yeah but pro tech has way better build quality and the materials and action are waaay better. But youre right. Under 200 they are great.
@@jannishansoonn I prioritize blade grinds and sharpness over how hard a knife opens. From my perspective, job number one of a knife is to cut. The Launches have a decent snap and are well built. That said, I own Protech’s too.

@@jlogue751 I think a lot of folks fall in love with Protech’s snappy action overlook the thick edges and uneven grinds on some of their knives.
@@Below-Average_Joe they're snappy but not perfect I really like the company tho. I'm rooting for them.. but my l u d t and 9400...are better, I've had a few protechs.
I have a Blurr, Iridium, Livewire, and just got Launch 19. Launch 19 my favorite. Unbelievably sharp! I like the black/brown! Kershaw makes great knives for price! Love made in USA! I got my Launch 19 for $138 (4-24) from Bud’s Gun Shop

Why oh why don't more knife companies use CPM 154? Kershaw's been building highly affordable knives (from around 100 to 150) out of it for years. Built in the US. It's almost twice as tough as 154CM. Please big knife manufacturers just give it a try.

I've enjoyed seeing Kershaw start doing some 'simpler' silhouettes for the Launch series. Most of them are good looking knives, but a lot of us don't want to feel like we're toting around the Vorpal Sword in our pocket. Looking at you, Launch 13.

I am loving my non serrated Launch 16! Been carrying it a ton since I bought it.
I wish they made it with a black carbon fiber scales instead of the tan. Wouldn’t be hard for them to do. It looks like the scales are compatible with the scales on the Launch 14
The Kershaw knife I want most right now is the bronze Irridium BHQ exclusive. Talk about good looking.
If that knife didn't have a ridiculous finger choil I would have one already. I love everything else about it.
Im usually with metal complex on brown black combo but on this it looks like a cowboy knife so im in love
Yeah, a blacked out Blade with a carbon fiber half scale would be pretty cool.
Not a fan of the brown g10 and of the color difference between scales. The little bit of color on the blade looks really sharp!
Well, acchhually Mister Metal so-called Complex, 2.8 ounces is too much. All the ounces I save on my Bugout helps me carry the kitchen on my back that I actually don't use!🤓🤡

My biggest problem with this configuration is the satin finish on the blade. If it were stonewashed I'd probably already have one
If they priced this at 139.99 that would be insane! 170 seems a tad steep but not crazy

Kershaw does a nice job keeping their US made knives’ prices reasonable.
250 bucks for a pocket knife is reasonable? They used to sell their top of the line knives for 30 to 70 bucks, and now they seem to have convinced people 250 bucks is reasonable. SMH

I have the launch 18 and that clip is terrible. Pokey as all hell. I modified a ti Civivi clip to fit onto it and now it’s perfect.

When buddies whine about their rifle being 8lbs instead of 7.5 I just have to laugh. Does weight matter? Of course. A 55lb pack is gonna suck more than a 40lb pack. So spend the weight allowance where it matters. A sturdy knife, a sturdy rifle are a must. Cut weight with titanium pots n pans, high tech sleep systems etc.

A tip up automatic seems like a disaster waiting to happen. I am always hitting my panic button by accident on my key fob. Imagine hitting the open button with a tip up blade. It’s gonna be a bad day because you’re not getting that thing out of your pocket with your pants and one piece.

Holy shit. I own many knives of many different makes, but I have never paid 200+ dollars for a pocket knife. Who are they marketing this to? Rich trust fund kids in the south? It looks to be a great knife, but it also looks to be massively overpriced. I have many Kershaw knives from the 90's and early 2000's and none of them cost anywhere near what this cost. What changed? They found out people are stupid and will buy anything.
That review was long and didn't even show how it cuts lol
It cuts like a knife. Showing how it cuts just tells you what the factory edge is like and that's the least important part of any review imo.
