How do I set a notification for when this new video pops up? Just tried this method and boy did it not go well at all. Had to Uninstall and reinstall the whole game and wipe all the old files.

Honestly this Video saved me, not because i wanted to cheat, because i wanted to reverse the money cheats i did, the game was becoming extremly boring with everything max, no sense of progression, with this video i was able to start brand new. Thank you alot
TV Tray, great video, nicely condensed and very explanatory. I wrote a VBA code in Excel to parse these files and rebuild them along with missions completed & Inventory management. The trick is knowing the game codename for the talent, blueprints, inventory and missions. I took the time a while back to develop a full table of all these names, which assists with the process. Great stuff keep up the good work!
I've wanted to try making a modding assistant for the game but haven't gotten to it yet, I'm not experienced enough with coding yet to make anything good but I think that could be a fun project.

I've searched reddit, google, steam forums and all of that trying to understand how to edit talent points and you are the ONLY ONE who explained it. I wonder if there is a way to simply edit the amount of spare talent points available on the top left corner instead of doing all of these manipulations ?
Still work for me. More talents for 1 of my characters to test it, no need new character to make it. But be carefull with overwriting, if you have more characters. Always cut data from file and paste to somewhere. For example to new notepad file. After editing all you want, get back character data, which you dont want to change. One more thing, not all talents need 3 upgrades, so all lower talents game will write back like unspent points to your character. At the end, always make Backup ! You never know, what can goes wrong.

I cant seem to get the file splicing to work for me, the new character is made and everything, but when i want to add my old one everything i try doesnt seem to work following the video.
Good Viddeo. Still works in 2025 but u MUST HAVE thhe game on your C drive in order to edit the appdata. It also works witch your Main charakter. u didnt have to delete it in order to edit i. U also can edit ur Bestarium in the Files
Do you know where in the files I can reset the Open World Missions so I can play them again? Should be a simple value swap 1-0 or true/false but i can't for the life of me find it.

its really throwing me off when you made a character, changed its name from Test Character to Subscribe, then theres 2 "new" characters to mess with. I'm so confused ive watched the end 30 times now and i still dont have my other character.
I would always take bows over every other weapon. A weapon you always use right from the start till the end. Great dmg mobility its super cheap especially if you unlock that OP wormbow.
Hey there! I just went through getting all the talents and max level, though I had nowhere near the tech points you had in the end. Is there a way to specifically change the amount of tech points?
its based on your character xp, you get tech points every time you level up. In the character file you can change your xp to 100 mill if you want enough tech points for everything
Went to edit a character today, made all characters get deleted. Used same method a few days ago, worked fine. Did they do something to stop some of this with the update the other day?
Will this work for MP? or will this cause join or dycn error? Few friends are just starting out and probably will do this when we hit max level. Or give us a few extra points for this learning game.
@@TVTray You go back in and reduce the rank of skills to 0, allowing you to then spend the points to relearn the skills and remove excess points. Just reduce skills to Rank 0 with a total Rank sum that equals excess points. Example of the 9 excess points: go to character sheet and control + f to search, type Rank, find 3 skills at Rank 3 and change those to Rank 0.
For Tech Tree, I can't put points in. I have 123 points available, I have the default items learned. I did try one mission and back to space. Only set to level 35. Any ideas?
Is there any way to edit your movement speed? I tried using a trainer for this which works great in solo play, but in multiplayer, whatever I select on my trainer gets applied to my friend.
Everything in this should still work, and yes it is possible to do without deleting your current file but its significantly harder. If you want to keep your current characters I would recommend saving a copy of your current file then making a new file with the modded character, you can then combine the files like I showed at the end of the video.
This was great. Hadn't played in some time and discovered my character was gone. Is there anyway to unlock the missions or will have to start them from the beginning?
You need to have the previous tiers unlocked before you can move up through the blueprint tree, If that's not what's causing the problem let me know and ill look into it.

From what I've looked at there might be a way to edit the mission files but in order to do it I would need to either have every mission done already or have a file copy from someone who already dose
I think, if devs make something like easy or hard building character, there should be more or less points to talents, nobody need to cheat like this, so we need to do this, right this way 😊.

People can play however they want to play. If you don't want to mod your character then by all means play completely vanilla, but don't judge other players for wanting to play differently than you. The devs fully support modding the game too, that's why there's no anti cheat and that's why the player has full control over the game files.
Cool and last time I checked I'm allowed to have an OPINION and my OPINION is.. if you play this way you take the challenge out of the game.. do you have a way to give me unlimited ammo and health too? Might as well go all out.. lol.. unreal. @@TVTray
@@darthartagnan4737 I spent hours and days building up character years ago .. devs decide to 'change the way the game is saved', I 'missed' the 'migration period' (because I wasn't made aware of this so called 'migration'), when I relaunch a few days ago after a looong time not playing, I lost everything ?! .. do you honnestly think I'll restart the game from scratch because they fail to find a proper way to migrate my data properly? .. I tried all the 'offical' methods (roll back, re-downloaded previous versions, ..) to transfer my data, none worked ! My last resort is to 'cheat' .. not to improve above what I had, but to recupe what I lost because of Devs poor data management. I partially agree with your opinion: giving yourself everything in the game will kill the game/experience. But there are exceptions to the way you see things. Blame the devs !

Not that I have found, it obviously exists but I don't think player have access to it for some reason
just subbed for the update to this video. Also an update to what talents you should get if you aren't using this would be cool too.
It still works, where you should replace rank 0 (1,2&3) with rank 4, do this 2 times and you will have enough points. Thks :D

The Talents worked but How did you do the blueprints? Made a fresh install and could not do any of the blueprints.

you get blueprint points based on your characters level, give your character like 50 mil xp and you should have enough BP points

Bow, it basically has aimbot with the killcams and it does the most damage, not to mention its obviously ranged so you're never really in danger

your tech points are based on your level, you get three each time you level up so you need to give your character a lot of xp

I'm not sure, what trainer do you use maybe I can look into it.
I made a mod that gives me 500% movement speed on cloth armor. It is trivial to edit armor sets to have whatever buffs you want.
