- Some might say this is kinda overkill, but I don't know, I'm a perfectionist, so I had to record everything the new update has, even if it is just old stuff that differs veeeery slightly! Not sure if I'm crazy or not, but I feel like the mixing of some of the old songs got changed, the camera definitely did, especially noticed that in Mom's week. Also, I'm glad I did record all the songs again cause of the awesome new poses Spookeez has! It was honestly still really fun going through all of these again, they aged like fine wine and were awesome to play through and as you go further into the update you just see how much everyone working on it has improved, it's so cool to see! Having seen all of them I only appreciate the new stuff more and more, Darnell and ER*CT mode was so damn cool, already gushed about them in the previous videos, but I really can't give it enough praise, all of it was just fantastic and such a blast to go through. An hour and 20 minutes well spent! Also, haven't really shown the death/pause songs in the previous videos, so I'm including them here, thank god I remembered them, because the death music in Darnell's Week might be my favorite song out of this update hahah. Everything about it was amazing and I hope you guys enjoyed it too!!

This channel consists of videos about modifications to a rhythmic video game (some of which I personally worked on) that range from slightly difficult to very hard for most players. Four arrows fly towards the screen forcing you to press them at the right time to the music. Hitting all the arrows in a song counts as a "Full Combo", which is very hard to do and takes a lot of time and practice to be able to do consistently and is the main gimmick of my channel, which I showcase in each video. I also include secrets and extra content that might’ve been undiscovered and show them off through instructional and entertaining ways that can be used as guides, as well as occasionally adding my own input on things happening in the video, all done through my creative editing style that focuses on being concise and transformative. In the descriptions I give my in-depth opinion on the video game as well as timestamps for each part of the video. it's funny how i found this game through a random links on a reply saying about check out this cool mod and stuff. and guess what? i found the reply on a community post. when i first saw the community post there's an arrow and stuff, i don't get it much but when i came to the video link in the reply i was; yoo, why is this song so fire though?!!?. so with my curiosity i decided to search through for the game and it's a real game. i was flabbergasted, shocked, surprised. the time where i found this game was when there's only 4 weeks
(just to be clear, there's no mod back then, just a reskin. i kinda forgot what the reply says, but it's someting about mod or reskin thing. but yeah, until kade dev came in a released his engine then mods exist)
I found out about Funkin' through SiIvagunner, searched it up and watched Flippy’s week 4 video
I found Flippy through his week 1 + 2 video. Though I actually subbed around the time he played week 3 and the very first hatsune miku mod. (I also remember that hyper mod he played that just made the control speed faster) Really good times honestly. It feels great to see him playing FNF again.

weirdly enough i launched the game on a whim and saw this update so bewildered
The weirdest thing for me is Bopeebo reverting to it's prototype version, a nice change though
This is a nice reminder for me that not everyone interacts enough with the community to have been all conspiracy theorist mode leading up to the update, with all the stuff about it being the old release date's "anniversary", phantom arcade's pfp, the distrokid leak that morning, etc

You're right, they definitely updated some of the older songs, on top of the ERECT remixes, and I think it's kind of cool that they're going through all of this effort, helps explain why it's taking so long for the full game to come out, if they gotta put in the same amount of effort here as they did for 100+ more songs.
Edit: YOO THAT FREEPLAY SONG HITS SO MUCH HARDER THAN IT SHOULD, that's some legit DDR song selection screen type ish, the shoutout to Etika is golden

Also, you're right. How the Camera works changed, because all Camera Switches are handled manually now, rather than using sections, and some mixing was done to older songs, as well as also changing BF's pitch in some of them.
It was definitely a fun update!
Watching through this again was such a fascinating timeline of evolution of the game and its various aspects, especially music and art. Everyone has only gotten better, and i hope when theyre done updating and release the full game, they do a remaster of the earlier weeks. Even just the little tweaks they did have dobe SO NUCH to improve those songs, so it'd be awesome if there other early weeks and the art got some updates too.
This also shows me that like...the base game is untouchable in terms of music quality. There have been so many incredible mods with incredible art and music, and i wouldnt even say theyre worse than base fnf at all! But none of them have ever really been able to capture fnf's sound (nor should they try, i WANT them to be their own thing) and that sound and style and is really why we're all here to begin with! I kinda forgot lmao.
I cannot wait until the next update, and i hope you stick around for it flippy!!! You're the first fnf youtuber i ever watched, and it was your videos that enabled me to be able to catch up before week 7 came out. :> im glad youre here

FYI, you missed a death screen. You get it in 2hot if you die from the damage you take from the lit spray paint cans.
Did you know? In the free play menu if you press Q and E keys you can scroll the that little top menu which acts as a search. And if you press F you can favourite songs (a heart icon displays as well) and they will show up in the favourites section of that menu. One last thing, if you afk long enough in the free play menu bf will start an animation where he is watching tv and uses a remote to change channels. That’s all

Flippy is insane for including all the old songs and guess what? it's not pre-recorded also, there's gotta be more update other than Darnell and Erect because this update doesn't feel enough for the 3 years of waits. and btw, flippy is so in love with this update idk why, he just kept talking about it in the past videos on his description (this one too!!)

@@poysona obviously. They're workin on the full game but it's probably gonna take them like 7 years to finish. Let alone 3 years they probably already made like 3 new weeks and all of them has erect mode, and the mobile port aren't even yet produced. Playable Charatcers and all of the new 60 songs, with all weeks having fully animated cutscenes as stated in Kickstarter
by tthat time, GTA VI would already came out.

the reason why this update took so long is because of how they had to overhaul the entire fnf engine to be more optimized and actually work as a rhythm game(and also make a proper debug menu for modding compatibilities). that and all the merch products they had to put out and release to the kickstarter backers

I don't think the hold note thing was done on purpose. If I remember correctly the engine fnf runs on was completely remade in this update so something probably didn't work in the code or they just forgot to add it
