Unless they set up the rap battle after, I don't think so. Suffer No Fools happened because Off The Hook performed in Splatsvile without Deep Cut's permission, which to me implies the song was more or less on the spot, whenever they happened to see Pearl and Marina in their turf. Which means Big Man didn’t succeed in getting them a collab, at least not before Shiver and Frye did it themselves lol
Fun fact: Speaking about Pokemon and Splatoon, I named my starter trio in Pokemon Violet after Deep Cut. Shiver, Frye, and Big Man as Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly!
I love the characterization throughout all of this. Frye looks royally pissed throughout the whole thing. Like an angry kitty cat. Shiver is the kind of person who would use the 🙂emoji threateningly. Big Man is everyone's reaction to when mom yells at you with your full name.
I originally was gonna side with Big Man when this came on, but then I stayed out of it after seeing that the cause for this version was Big Man failing to stop Off The Hook from stealing the show. Honestly, clever move Nintendo, you found a way to make me side with Frye & Shiver a little on this one, good job!
Yeah it's cool but what if Big Man after Big Betrayal left the band for Squid Sisters or Off the Hook because he had enough and these events occur in the story mode as Shiver and Frye are more aggressive and treat Boss Marie like trash instead of praising her.
