Dude this was a great intro to hybrids , for us in the us what you are saying is your taking all the best bits of both the baja and a losi basically the rear of a baja and then the rest of the losi minus the center drives stuff ! Dude well done brother !

Awesome video Joel and a nice bit of kit front rcmax, enjoy your build mate its much fun as I did one just using a losi chassis on its own and still on losi rear suspension 😀 with a lot of headaches
OCBaja Designs was the originator of the hybrid(Tim Reliford). And still to this day his kits are highly revered in the 5th scale community still to this day after 7 years! And it's not a rumor that a guy in the USA is bringing back a variation of the OCBaja!
That's great! I cant wait.... I've been thinking about the hybrid as well. I have a 5T in pieces just sitting just need a baja and big engine. Not sure I'll watch you first as I still have more learning to do. It's been 2 yrs of rc but still think I have more to learn. Anyway keep it up always great vids....

Yooooo! I just bought Ben Sinclairs 80 Supreme RC Max Motor and I'm dealing with Mike on that seeing as how he just rebuilt it!...also working with John from Detriot Performance on the Hybrid Kit! Can't wait!

What is so good about the Losi front end to not just build a 5sc or 5t?
You probably won't like this but could you use a Baja electric conversion kit on this chassis

Hi Joe I'm just planning a build and this is the chassis I want..I'm new to the hobby and was wonder about hardware like bolts does all the parts rc maxx sell come with hardware or do they have a manual to go by? Also would it be possible to give you my number just encase i get stuck on where something might go or a recommendation on what to get? I live in the USA, in ny state in the city of hornell ny. I just don’t get it? The work u have to do just to change the clutch in the Baja platform is a pain!! The hybrid platform is a no go for me . I have a Baja 5t and it just sits because it’s a pain to work on.
What have you done to that Baja its miles better than that hybrid put it back together 🙈

I'm not seeing the point. I've never heard of the Losi drivetrain being anything other than durable and capable of handling a lot of power.
All I see here is a good way to make a Losi handle worse by making it 2wd, or a Baja heavier. Seems like you are just getting the worst of both cars.
