love the way new minilab looks, introduction of new midi ( i hope its % point MIDI , IS IT ?) will be very handy and yes the faders, that can be so useful in live situations. Good work as usual Patrick as there aren't any other videos comparing the two versions precisely. your previous video comparing all the versions of Arturia controllers from Micro to MK2 series is gold as I was confused between essential and MK2 and that video just nailed it.

Loved the video. Like always though, my problem with Arturia and their keyboards will always remain, because they NEVER put their faders to the left. But at least it has faders now so YAY! That along with the transport controls is absolutely making this a buy-ASAP product for me.

Also, the bottom plate on the Minilab MKII is metal, and the one on the MKIII is plastic, significantly reducing the weight.
Thank you for letting us know about that! This is a good reason for me NOT to upgrade, as I bought the MK2 to also have it as a portable thing, so the metal base is much more durable and the MK2 good enough for me anyway. If I want the extra features that the MK3 offers I can just buy more expensive piece of equipment later. But they BOTH rock, especially at those price points!

The 5 pin midi out makes the 3 a winner for sure. It sets it apart from many other controllers at this price point.
Recently i’ve just started to get the equipment i need to record and produce music. I’m 18 and my dream job is to be a musician and inspire others. So thanks for the review! I was caught up with whether i should get the new one or the old one. For sure gonna get the new one when i can afford!

Been deciding on a travel controller that fits in my carry on that’s super packed with functionality and I think I just found it. I have the MK2 88 in my studio and can’t take it on the road so this might be the solution I’ve been looking for.
