Not a bad little welder very lightweight and very portable and It has a lot of different useful functions .. That would be a great welder for a small automotive repair shop as for HD long term welding i would say No I would stick to Miller or Lincoln welders for HD Welding .. Out of a Scale of 1 to 10 i give the SSimder SD -4050 a sold 9 out of 10 .. Great Unboxing video Take care enjoy your week
Interesting little machine that does everything! Would be great for someone who is budget minded and has a small shop! How did the gig welder start was it a scratch start there isn’t a petal to control heat! You got the wire welder set up good if it’s growling at you it’s working good! I’ve been welding since 1975 wish I could be there to weld on the old wrecker would enjoy that! Take care Tyler be safe!
I was very impressed with all that it could do for that price point! The Tig torch had a button on the handle - hit the button once to start the pre flow gas, then push and hold it a second time to start the arc. Set the amperage and it stays constant throughout the weld. They do offer the option to purchase a foot pedal, which would be useful if you were doing longer welds.
I just setup a new Lincoln welder you have to scratch the tip to start it mine is a high frequency welder you get a quarter inch from material and it jumps the arc! Got a place on the 65 for it! I know that would be a bit much! Later my friend!
