Thanks for letting us into your space. I love a craft room tour -- love seeing how other makers organize their spaces (and a good reassurance as to real life ... always glad to know I'm not alone in how crafting supplies can take over!).
Thank you for taking the time to show us your craft room. We have a guest room that is becoming more of a craft room. I do not knit in there because there is no comfy chair, but all my yarn and knitting supplies are in there. Much more useful for me because our family all lives within 10 minutes of us. We rarely have overnight guests and when we do the grandchildren don't mind the yarny clutter. As long as the bed is clear and the TV works, they are happy. May your new year be filled with good health and happiness. God is good!!!
Loved seeing your craft room. I myself have had 3 different craft rooms over the years. First one was destroyed by an angry ex, the second one was taken apart for a big move. The third one was totally damaged in a flood. So now I just knit on my couch and sew at the kitchen table.
Happy New Year, Ruth! I think if we all sent you photos or videos, you would find many many kindred craft spaces 😅 Keeping organized is such an ongoing process, and not as much fun as crafting! Susannah
Thanks for the tour, Ruth! It's interesting how crafters enjoy looking at other craft rooms. It's exciting and interesting like going into a craft store. I love your special space.❤
Hi Ruth, thank you for showing us your crafting space. I always wondered what it looked like. I think I need to designate a box or bin as a “Box of Doom”. lol. We have to hide special snacks too or our kids would devour them in seconds. Thank you for sharing, I enjoyed the tour. John
Oh I feel better, thank you 😊 Love the idea of a single place to display pins. Right now my small collection is dispersed among several project bags and my fishing hat 😊
Thanks for sharing Ruth. My craft room often looks like colour vomit. 🤮. If I want to knit a project but am struggling with picking colours I pull everything out. I just reorganized my stash by brand and that seems to be working for me. I don’t have to pull out as much yarn to make a decision. I did discover I have more sock yarn than anyone needs in their lifetime. I guess I do need to try knitting a Musselburgh just to use more. I’m rubbish at knitting hats. I bought a peg board from a hardware store and I have project bags and baskets stored on it that house my current wips. It was set up by my husband (about $40 Canadian) after I did what I had hoped was a rather graceful face plant on the floor. I had tripped over stuff on the floor. He assured me there was nothing graceful about it and went out to the hardware store. 🤣 All the best to you and your family.
Well...I think it is impressive that you know exactly where everything is in your craft room. It looks like a cozy space reserved for someone who just loves to knit😊.
Thank you for showing us “the other half” of your craft room. I have made a corner of the living room my space but I dream of having a craft room. I did laugh seeing your hiding place for crisps. I remember my mother having to hide biscuits, cakes etc in the washing machine and other unexpected places otherwise my brother would eat them all in one go. Happy New Year to you and the family.
It looks like mine. 🌻💐 the before that is. 😁. Very well organised for a small room. Thanks for the tour. Praying you will have a very Blessed and peaceful 2025. ❤️
For 10 years my craft room was bins hidden around a tiny apartment underneath all the junk of a family of 5. We just moved to our house that we had been renovating all that time and I finally have a whole craft room to myself and it's just as filled with other people's junk. It's just that I have beautiful shelves and a desk underneath now hahaha
I love it...when you get to a certain age you save good boxes...I'm there too😂 its hard to keep a craft toom tidy. Every time I clean up and can see my extra chair, well you know doesnt take long til its covered again! Thanks for the tour❤
Thanks for sharing your craft room. You have inspired me to try to organize the chaos in my own craft room. I spend a lot of time looking for that one skein of yarn or trying find a needle that I must have. Wishing you a great and happy new year!
Thank you for the tour! Your room looks great. My friend calls us “extreme hobbyists”. I’ve known people who can work on one project until it’s finished and throw away whatever is left over, but that’s not me. You are correct. We are blessed to have the space we do, and also blessed to have the hobbies we do.
Hello Ruth. A very happy new year to you and yours. I hope it will be a good one. A short time ago I was woken up by a massive crash in the “spare room” when I keep all my special stuff. In the morning I found that my stash had decided - for no apparent reason - to erupt from the cupboard it is stored in. To be honest, I couldn’t actually see the floor for the carnage. My little grandson took one look at it and, hand on hips, said “Grandma, this is a terrible mess!” It took me the best part of 2 weeks to sort out. I took a lot to our local charity shop; gave some to friends and the rest was tidied up. And yet, I had absolutely no extra space, despite my efforts! And the room is now back to its usual mess. Yours looks wonderful by comparison. 👍
Ruth, your craft room looks cozy and inviting. I hope you have a blessed 2025. I look forward to your mini sermons at the end of your videos which help me so much. It’s always just what I need to hear at that time. 😊
Happy New Year! Wishing you the best for 2025. So nice to be nosey and see your craft room, thank you. Love!y to see a normal room like the rest of us have. We currently have a hidden tin of Christmas shortbread so someone other than our teenage son might get one.
I may have been able to go one further Ruth! 🙈. I had to step over “ stuff” just to get into my room. How I managed to get it so messy I don’t know …… but I certainly did and keep doing so!!! Well done for sorting yours out and it will be well done to me when I finish sorting mine out here in Cumbria. Loved your tour so thank you very much. Wishing you, your family and everyone here Good Health in 2025. ❤
i'm impressed with how you know what is in EVERY box and bag and what-not!!! I have to keep looking. My craftroom is the 'before' and I have not gotten to it yet.
Happy New Year, Ruth, to you and your family!🎉 Thank you for the tour. Your craft room is lovely. I have a sign on the door of my craft room (my children call it my office) that states, " I'm creative - you can't expect me to be neat too." At the moment it looks like a bomb went off; if it's not covered with yarn and knitting patterns, it's covered with art supplies. Happy New Year to you and all messy lovely creative friends out there.❤
Oh no, how awful for you but you still carry on, bless you. I just don't have space for a craft room so I go where I can and my husband complains about my "clutter." Tough titties as my friend used to say : ) Happy New Year Xx
Happy New Year Ruth, thank you for sharing your craft room. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and look forward to seeing what 2025 brings to our community ❤❤❤
Messy or not messy it’s a lovely homely room. I am hoping that one day i will have a craft room. For now i mainly sit in the kitchen and knit. I have an under stairs cupboard that is bursting at the seems with yarn and knitting tools 🙈. Every now and then i pull it all out and rediscover yarn i forgot i had 😊😊. Happy New Year Ruth and family. I look forward to seeing what you make in 2025. Especially as i now know where you are sitting when recording 😉😘
Please rest assured that my "string room" (as my husband has dubbed it) is much messier than this - I have not been able to see the bed for some time now 😂 I wish I could be as organised as you are, Ruth! 💛🧶💛🧶💛
Happy New Year to you and your family. Love your tour and how you know exactly where every thing is .😂 I have bits of stash all over the house 🤭🧶❤️ Look forward to seeing you and all of your inspirational projects in 2025.
Happy, healthy new year to you and your loved ones! Thank you so much for sharing your room with us. My craft room is a bit *more* cluttered and quite a big redo is in order. But, when you shared that you use that plastic photo sorting thing for cable needles and stuff, I need to do that!! ❤ thank you! Also, I know about the fan and tissues 😂 ❤
Happy New Year Ruth. I now feel so much better about the state of my craft room and size of stash 😅😂 And yes I know all about teenage (now 20yo) crisp monsters!!

It's so difficult to keep craft supplies tidy and also accessible. That's my excuse anyhow!! Thanks for sharing, Ruth. God bless. x
Thanks for the tour, Ruth! It's interesting how crafters enjoy looking at other craft rooms. It's exciting and interesting like going into a craft store. I love your special space.❤

My absolute favorite was the saving of boxes! I have a very nice stash of boxes that I use all year round. Enjoyed the tour. Thank you for your time!

I literally tidy it every week but apparently creativity is messy.
