I really wish they'd consult with a dietician younger than 50 so we can get updated nutritional information instead of regurgitating the same outdated info from bad studies from the 1960's.
I wonder why it's so biased - Subway is unhealthy if you compare with natural healthy foods - but f you take McD or Burger King - it is healthy. Sandwich for 600 cal versus Burgers 1500+ cal
I love Subway as a seldom treat. I’m not planning on living on the menu, but come on, treat yourself once in a while. In fact I just ordered a Philly Beef and Cheese and my husband wanted a Monster Sub. This order is our first in almost a year so I don’t feel guilty.
Nah, the tuna sub is a great option for health conscious. Load it with veggies and it doesn't need a sauce because it's already very moist and get a footlong and just eat half because it's packed with more protein and actual food than most of their subs. It's also literally the second lowest sodium option on the menu after grilled chicken (not counting veggie which is just any sub minus the protein).
Why are you reporting cholesterol? Dietary cholesterol, such as in eggs, does not become cholesterol in your body. I'm more concerned with nitrates, nitrites, and unhealthy oils. Maybe you should be giving statistics on these things rather than just focusing on fat, carbs, sodium, and calories. Also, it is rather unfair to go after Subway if you are not going to compare it to other fast food. After all, people are aware that fast food is unhealthy. How does it compare to Jersey Mike's or McDonald's, for example?
Forgive me, but as a former federal meat inspector for USDA FSIS and a college educated meat scientist, your screaming about sodium nitrate is a little off the wall. Sodium Nitrate aka Prague Powder #2 are used as a curing agent and it is used in very small amounts like micrograms per 1000 lb batch of raw meat for a comminuted "meat batter" like salami and the sliced meat. In order to get any ill effect you would have to eat a tablespoon of more per day. Also prove that there is soybean oil in the product with label. Do you know how to even cure meat? Prague 2 is used in almost every cured meat from hams to salami and it has been used for hundreds of years in butcheries. Come back and raise hell when you've taken at least one semester of cured and smoked meat processing. Also, Prague 2 prevents bone sour in bone in cured product which is meat that isn't cured correctly or with enough salt like country hams and prosciutto. Part of USDA FSIS work is to ensure that correct labeling as to amounts of ingredients and what they are must be attached to all meat products offered for human consumption. You're just spooking the uninformed.
I usually get the no.13 6 inch no.salt or sauce But with the cucumber, lettuce tomato , olives some cold cuts and cheese ..NOT ALL SUBWAYS ARE THE SAME.
The whole menu is unhealthy. How many days do you think all those vegetables and ingredients have been laying down there on the counter? Do you think they're fresh from that same day? Pffff they're at least 2 weeks old.
#4 is a Supreme meat Italian not the Italian BMT. It's even worst and is a walking heart attack. If you are looking to eat healthier either get a salad without any pickled vegetables or a roast chicken no mayo or cheese
@@marlenemacleod9609 for years I was eating salads and not understanding why I wasn't a winning the battle of the bulge (I wasn't losing just stagnant) and worse my blood pressure was getting out of control. putting on berries and virtually eliminating the dressing. But I was given a nutritionist who told me how much salt and preservatives are in pickled vegetables. I eliminated them except for a very few olives then started using the fresh version onion, peppers and cucumbers instead pickled cucumber and Jared peppers and started using the fresh version sometimes I would char them for flavor or saute them. Much more flavor and so much better. But I have to admit those Italian subs were my weakness.
Everything about Subway is gross.🫢 I live in Philadelphia; who needs Subway when we have Primos, Majors, Firehouse Subs and Jersey Mike's? By the way, hoagie-fest at WAWA is better than Subway. 🤔
@@natanpierce495 my favorite is Geno's. Love their cheese steaks. I heard about Jims Steaks. Are they in Reading Terminal Market? Or am I thinking of John's Roast Pork ? Another that I hear is good but have never been to.
What do you think is the worst item on Subway's menu?
Tuna. Just the thought of it makes me wanna puke.
And Ihappen to love the tuna. taste better, than, any can tuna I tried.
So, basically, everything on the menu at Subway is unhealthy...
If you're starting off with, basically, a loaf of bread ....yeah
Now you're getting it!
I need meatballs so bad right now
Ayooo
😐📸
Lol.
Hope you get your fix soon.
I can fix my own tuna salad at home, and it's better!
Never thought i would ever hear the words frightening chemicals and food together , It sounds yummy pun intended !
Why should any sandwich ever be banned?? If people want to eat it, let them eat it!
Sounds like wokism to me. It's food.
Tired of people trying to force me and restaurants to change to suit then, they can open their own sandwich shop.

Agreed! She must be getting her dietary info from the 50's, lol.

It's all about perspective
Wouldn't mind trying the BMT, the Beast, the Monster, & the Supreme Meats each at least once.
I might get me some subway today

Time for a Subway run.
I have to try some of these.
Thankfully I live in the Phila area and can get amazing sandwiches
No better area for cheese steaks & hoagies.
Go to Wisconsin and evaluate Cousin's Italian Special
Sorry but I never thought of subway as healthy just sooo good and I try to eat healthy but sometimes……
Veggie Delite with Mozzarella
The best and healthy sub is at home like everything else
I love Subway tuna subs. Is this video trying to get Subway out of business?

A Big Mac has 563 calories!
Hire me subway

What is fast food or Whole Foods
Every once in a while Subway is okay
Are we just late af for the definition of SUB-way…. The sub being all the fillers and chemicals smh 🤦🏻♀️ 1:02
I really dislike SW. It tastes and seems highly processed and artificial to me.
Almost like... fast food? 🫨
@@BryceCzirr-jz7ju In the worst way. I don't mind some fast food, in moderation, but to me SW is disgusting.
I stopped going to Subway due to true nature of their former spokeman Jared and they support a certain woke athlete.

Subway is pure garbage anyway, don’t waste your time or money on this inferior product
Sorry, I never thought of Subway as food I'd eat, ever
Me either
You must be very boring. Take a chance, please. I just saw a patient in our ER who suffered a cardiac event after eating a Big Mac. With fries!!
junk
Like every processed crap. Eat real meat 🥩
#4 is a Supreme meat Italian not the Italian BMT.
It's even worst and is a walking heart attack.

I usually get all the veggies thrown on and make a salad

First comment thankyou
Bottom line, if you eat these subs regularly your unhealthy! Eat once or twice a month your ok.
As any thing !! Everything in moderation !!!!

We have different versions of Philadelphia. You mention chain places...what about Jim's Steaks (Pat's and Geno's) Chubby's. Of course WaWa is tops!
