This is great. I have come across a number of ways of setting up smallholding. Off grid projects. I grew up on a farm, in the late 1958 to 1972...but keep links with a number of others projects. Take care.
Love the channel. Seen you guys on lives in the wild! We are going to be doing a lot more growing this year , Cant wait to see more and thanks for the great ideas David and Monalee
Fab. Do you show some of work you do in cutting the tanks open? I'm imagining cutting the top off for a plunge pool, but using a hair dryer or other to fold over the sharp edges.
Outstanding job, I love your english accent! I am doing similar projects using sun, growing food thru hydroponics using ibc, building septic system using five ibc. The key is to think outside the box, be willing to experiment, and the self satisifaction of making something that is not only cost effective, but usefull, and needed!
Hello. Fascinating stuff. Can I paint my two halves of an IBC tote. And will they get too hot for growing vegetables? You mentioned something about solar heat and as I’m in South Australia with ( possibly ) hotter summers than you. Thanks. Sue
Thank you. Yes they can be bought from a variety of sources. Have a look on Gumtree or your local online marketplace. Just be careful what has been in them if you plan to store water.
Washing machine....looks like torture. There must be a way to hook up a stationary old cycle, so as you pedal in a fixed position to rotate the drum in a more effective manner. Needs some designing, but possible.
I just finished watching your Program with Ben Fogle, I wish you Sooo much Success, Strength, Faith and Happiness… God Bless you all!
19 second in and i already see something i like! The rails on the steps.
Love that too!!
I'm inspired guys. My friend wants a cover for an outside washing machine and after watching you I've decided to use an IBC. Thank you
I love IBC tanks and now I'm inspired to use even more them in other ways. Thank you so much for sharing these ideas!
You are so welcome!
Lots of creativity and lots of humor too. That’s why they call it UP- cycling ;))Tnx!
Just wanted to say that I think Matthew and Charis are fabulous, I love what they are doing and wish them both every success ❤
Watched these 2 legends on TV 📺 the other day. 😍👍🏻
They are brilliant people.
Wow! You are quite the creative couple. Love to his!
I would like to convey my appreciation for the stairs demo!
bad ass. love the lil baby in the chair in the tote in front of the fire! lol perfection.

Nice....... How fun.😎👍
Thanks 👍
The rack from the ceiling would be good for hanging pots and pans from. I could see a trellis for cucumbers in the garden.
Hi guys 👋🏼 Good seeing you on here. DEFINITELY going to steal some of these ideas! Thanks 😉
You are welcome! Thank you for the comment.
Genius, thank you👍🏽

How do you go with the UV from the sun deteriorating the plastic making it brittle

Just bought 4 on market place for 25 bucks ^_^ and a bunch of metal and plastic barrels, for other projects.
I'm just going to go back to using a steam engine to get around.
Awesome work! Watched new lives the other day and thought you guys were great! Where is the best place to get IBC tanks? Do you have to buy them?
Thank you. Yes they can be bought from a variety of sources. Have a look on Gumtree or your local online marketplace. Just be careful what has been in them if you plan to store water.

You guys know how to rub each other! ;)
