    I have watched a bunch of vids for this toner & you absolutely nailed it effortlessly. You gave clear facts & instructions without all the extra. And you did it gracefully without all the self absorb-ness that goes on in these videos. Thank you for this info & for being awesome. I look forward to viewing more from you :)

    Hi would you say to always shampoo the toner out after time, or just rinse and condition, also im but confused as to the difference in using different peroxide, im finding im havijg to bleach it twice before i use a toner otherwise it, comes out with a tinge of yellow, also last time the colour didnt last as long, i did 1:2 3% icy, dot of violet 20 mins on damp hair, ❤

    I have a question(s) I've been using this toner on my own hair for about 6 months. The first time my hair was a lovely silver colour however wasted out pretty quick, any other time using it ive not had the same desired look, it turns out very dark ashy and washes out after a week or 2. I use icy toner with 1 part to 2 part pulp riot premium developer 6 volume. Ive left on for 4 mins, 6 mins 10 mins and i cant seem to get the desired shades. Can you help pkease?

    It looks very grey on the swatch, if I leave it in shorter time, would it be more ice and less grey?

    • @HairByKait
      @HairByKait  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The longer you leave it on, the more of the blue violet tone will be deposited, so technically yes! It will also depend on your starting point as well :)

    Thank you. Not sure if I should use silver or icy . Some parts are an 8-9 some 10. (Lifted a colored level 4-5 with 60 percent grey client). I usually use Goldwell. ) She prefers to be platinum instead of silver. Bleaching more right now is not an option.

    Are these demi? If they’re strong enough to lift then that means they would be permanent right? So how can we use these on highlights if there’s natural levels in between will it cause hot roots? I’m switching from Goldwell to Pulp riot and am so intrigued but sooo confused!

    Hello! I have highlighted hair. My natural hair is level 4/5 with level 8 finely weaved highlights. I'd like to get the brassy tone out of my highlights without lifting my root and the rest of my level 4/5 hair. Is this possible? What would you recommend? Thanks for any information

    • @HairByKait
      @HairByKait  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would definitely recommend and acidic toner, if you use the high-speeds, they can possibly shift your natural color because they are alkaline. The Pulp Riot Liquid Demis are all acidic though, and the 8.2+8.1 are great for removing yellow/orange tones!

    Hello Lovely! Your videos are so wonderful and informative! I must say, I am not a professional; however, I have a hair issue and was hoping I could ask you for some advice. I colored my level 10 with Pulp Riot Semi-Lilac, and I tried to remove it once with a peroxide rinse (face palm) and it turned light blue. I then Pulp Riot's Icy toner with Blank Canvas and used BC in a 1:3 with vol. 6 developer, and the icy in a 1:2 ratio with vol. 6, and it barely worked. I waited 5 days, then attempted the same combination but with vol. 10, and it barely dulled it down. I am afraid to damage my hair, I am natural blonde but it has been lifted to a lighter shade all around. I processed the BC for about 20 minutes and the toners about 5- Sorry for the lengthy question, is there any combination or process you can recommend? I am desperate. I live in a rural region in the mountains, and no one is a hair expert within 100 miles of me (literally). lol I have Olaplex 3, and my hair is in excellent condition right now, but I am afraid to damage it as it is very long in length.

      @@HairByKait Of course, I understand completely! Thank you for your reply. I now see that it was inappropriate of me to ask such a question, and I apologize for doing so. I respect your position, and I feel it is very responsible and ethical that a professional with your level of expertise does not encourage or advise in-home DIY hair coloring. On a positive note, I was able to successfully lift the color without damage and am using Olaplex no. 3, 4, & 5 for healthy maintenance. I won't be attempting self-color or removal ever again. Lol. Thanks again, Kait! You're a gem :0)

Once ive lifted the back to a level 10 how long should i leave the icy toner on to get it to be pure white and be the same shade as the front? And what would be the ideal ratio to mix? I have 6 and 10 vol wich would you recommend As ive never used this brand before

    • @HairByKait
      @HairByKait  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would use 10 vol if her hair is course, 6 if it's more fine. I like a 1:2 ratio personally, and I just watch it. Usually 5 - 10 minutes is long enough =)

    • @HairByKait

      Icy is a blue + violet base. If you're applying over just a yellow canvas, the violet will neutralize the yellow, leaving the blue base to look silvery. If you want your blonde to stay whiter, try Moonstone instead of Icy!
