    I just signed up the beginning of Nov, in Canada, and got my pressure cooker for free. I'm using it for the first time tonight! SO Excited! I love your videos Korinne. Your video on the chocolate mousse was the very first one I saw, and my little boy and I made it that night! He loved the Power Chef!!!

    Hey Tupperware! What's with all the irritating distracting music in the background. Cut it out so we can hear what your demonstrator has to say.

    Loved your video and your excitement. I want to try this with a london broil. I tried a 4 lb roast and I think I cooked it too long. I earned my pressure cooker in the confident start program. Love it for the 1 pot pasta! Thank you for sharing.

    That in UK terms is a casserole or stew, roasting is using dry heat, whereas you are using the liquid in the pressure cooker to cook.

      I'm with you roast in Oz is not a stew roast is dry roast crunch :P

      Adam Bede It may be a mis-labeled recipe title, but you must have liquid in a pressure cooker. (Just adding this so no one tries it dry.)

    Hi, Korinne! Thanks for your great video! Would you mind if I used a screenshot of you taking it out of the microwave in a photo? Another rep has a photo of an exploded pressure cooker and I wanted to show you taking it out of the microwave comparing the ease of that to the exploded one. Thanks! -Fellow Consultant in MA.

    You use way too much liquid. That’s isn’t a Roast, it’s a casserole. Thanks for the demo though 🌷

    Is it possible to pressure cook frozen meat or should I defrost the meat first before putting it in the pressure cooker?

    • @MZB80
      @MZB80 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Petra Sandberg always safer to defrost meat first as you then don't run the risk of an uncooked middle.

    When the pressure cooker has finished cooking in the microwave, can you put it in the sink and run water over it to reduce pressure quickly like you would a regular pressure cooker

    • @Tprware
      @Tprware  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      MrU2kite: I personally haven't tried it although I don't think it's recommended. With my recipes, it usually only takes 2-4 minutes for the pressure gauge to go down so I've never had a need to speed it up.

    Hi ! How many time you use to cook black beans using the Tupperware Micro Pressure Cooker ? Thanks . Happy New Year !

    • @Tprware
      @Tprware  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the beans. Most beans, including black, take about 30 minutes in the pressure cooker.

    I don't know about the carrots and potatoes being cooked in thirty minutes. I just made curried sausages in mine tonight and the carrots and potatoes were cut up into pieces and they were still hard. I will cook beforehand next time.

    Would you say the meat is tender, I have been debating about buying one, but I would like to know if the meat is tender? I am worried about it being cooked so fast that it would make the meat tough??

    • @Tprware
      @Tprware  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Tiffs Sweet Designs, good question! It depends on how much the roast weighs, how many other ingredients you have with it, and the wattage of your microwave. If you cook the roast too long, it's going to be tougher. I usually try 14-15 minutes in my microwave but sometimes it needs more. It's better to have it for less time and stick in back in, then to cook it too long.

    Hi ! Will I need to soak overnight the black beans to after use the Tupperware Micro Pressure Cooker ?

    • @Tprware
      @Tprware  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is best to soak the beans overnight before using them in any dish. However, there are some beans you can use dry in the pressure cooker. You just have to make sure you have enough liquid.

    • @Flaviocamisao
      @Flaviocamisao 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** I´m making the question because you could cook black beans in the microwave in a common container after soaking the beans overnight and wasting 30 minutes. I imagined that using the pressure cooker, you would waste 10 minutes.

    • @Flaviocamisao
      @Flaviocamisao 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      FLAVIO CAMISAO In this video, you could see beans "OK" in 30 minutes + soak overnight + there is no Microwave Pressure Cooker. Question : soak overnight + use Microwave Pressure Cooker = beans "OK" in 10 minutes ? If answer "YES" I would buy the Tupperware Micro Pressure Cooker.

      If you soak the beans, it will take less time. Depending on the thickness and bean type, it should take anywhere from 10-15 minutes.

    I bought the smart steamer to cook for my baby. Doesn't other microwave product tupperware sells go against what the smart steamer stands for? Good food that is not affected by micro waves? I love the idea of the steamer but I am worried the quality of the food cooked in the microwave looses nutrition.

    • @Tprware
      @Tprware  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Paula Salinas, excellent question! There tends to be a negative stereotype about the microwave oven's microwaves breaking down the nutrients from food faster than conventional heating methods. In a nutshell, because the microwave heats the food faster than conventional heating methods, it typically preserves more nutrients than other methods.
      There is an article that I like from Harvard Medical School titled, "Microwave Cooking and Nutrition." Here are some excerpts from this article that help explain how a microwave works and why it's good for your food:
      "Microwave ovens cook food using waves of energy that are similar to radio waves but shorter. These waves are remarkably selective, primarily affecting water and other molecules that are electrically asymmetrical - one end positively charged and the other negatively charged. Microwaves cause these molecules to vibrate and quickly build up thermal (heat) energy."
      "Because microwave cooking times are shorter, cooking with a microwave does a better job of preserving vitamin C and other nutrients that break down when heated."
      "The cooking method that best retains nutrients is one that cooks quickly, heats food for the shortest amount of time, and uses as little liquid as possible. Microwaving meets those criteria. Using the microwave with a small amount of water essentially steams food from the inside out. That keeps more vitamins and minerals than almost any other cooking method."
      That being said, whether you use the Smart Steamer or another Tupperware microwave product like the Pressure Cooker, either one is going to be better for your vegetables than by cooking them on stove. Each Tupperware product has it purposes and designs. I love the Smart Steamer for doing less dense vegetables like broccoli or asparagus. More dense vegetables like potatoes, I like using the pressure cooker. For baking cakes, breads, or doing casseroles, I prefer the Stack Cooker.
      Hope that helps!
