    Ah man… this is the inspiration I come to TH-cam for! This is exactly why I’ve started to play exclusively with my fingers in the last week or so. A pick is great, but you can get so much more feel into your lead work when using your fingers. All I need to do now, is practice consistently for another 5-10 years or so 😊. Keep up the fantastic work with your playing and camera work ❤

    This was really enjoyable to watch. Forget about the pickups, I wish I had half your playing skills.
    I love that you're using affordable guitars too!

      Thanks, I have to admit you might find some less affordable guitars among my videos 😄 But these Korean made Epiphone's have proven to me to be great guitars. This SG has such comfortable playability. BTW, I just subscribed to your channel. I see you are a photographer and also use a Z6II. I work as a graphic designer/photographer and love to see your type of street photography. Cheers!

    Thor, I’m always glad to see a new vid from you. Your playing is always so inspiring to me.. I’m still very much a beginner/intermediate player and you’ve made me want to improve my right hand.. incorporating my fingers, something about the nails and flesh on the strings adds such wonderful flavor... although I’m just starting to learn to hybrid pick(maybe someday will lose the pick altogether, or learn the chris buck “magic trick” of tucking it way and bringing in the thumb.. ) ... anyway, thanks for all the great content and inspiration!

      Thank you so much my friend 😊 I have the opposite challenge - to play with a pick without picking too hard, or to be able to have about the same flexibility as I do without it. I would love to be able to tuck it away and bringing it in when I want to. I would have to decide to have the patience to rehearse it though... Cheers!

      @@GUITARSGIZMOS, Pity I was some days late on this video. Many years ago had a Custom Custom in a guitar, but in search for the tone I sold it and have highly regretted. It do not have a jazzy or bluesy sweet tone, but something that really finds the way into my soul. I will get one again, some time. Except of that the Maxon is a really great PU.

    Hi, love the overall tone. Do you have an idea of the DBs you had in the room during the recording of this session? Thanks for sharing

      @GUITARSGIZMOS  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you😊 I had the Tweed Deluxe on 2 in the low input, so not very loud. I don't know about dB, but would guess somewhere around 80-90.

      @@GUITARSGIZMOS less than 100 dB are more or less doable at home (it depends on the neighbor's tolerance :)). You're very far from pushing the amp and nevertheless the slightly overdriven sound is amazing. From what pedal are you getting it? Thanks a lot for the feedback. Cheers.

      @@ruipina5636 I used the Mad Professor Sweet Honey Overdrive deluxe, with a low gain setting, just to push the amp a bit. It has been my favourite OD pedal for many years.
