- I'm heading down to the Florida Keys for my third road trip, 2000 miles on a Harley Road King! I'm going to take this one much easier than my first 2 road trips, no 12 hour highway rides - take some scenic routes, and I left myself lots of time - almost 2 weeks to complete it. I plan to ride the longest bridge and the most scenic road in Florida. What should I call this Big Red 2.0? And YES - after this, there will be an adventure bike on a road trip! :D Stay tuned!

Just went down to Key Largo today on my 08 Heritage Classic. Beautiful weather!
Let me know what to see and do in FL. I'm headed to Daytona for Bike Week and then south down the east coast all the way to Key West and then north up the west coast and riding the coast all the way back home to Texas.

Hi Doodle, I've never had the pleasure of riding a Harley, and I well remember when you weren't a fan, but now they've grown on you for their comfort on road trips, and their carrying capacity, and their undeniable beauty! It's freezing here in the UK, so I'm especially going to enjoy this trip into the sunshine. A 4k drone would be a huge asset to have! Ride safe!
I think the more bikes I ride, the more I find my preferred type of bike changes.
I 'get' the big cruisers, but I prefer my Bonneville and Tiger1200. Used to only ride sport bikes. Then I kept my Speed Triple for 11 years!

So glad to see HD supporting content creators that ride, Harley is finally supporting the folks that ride these bikes and getting amazing content. Harley is going to do just fine the next few years its a brand that is really becoming more popular every day because of what there doing. Even when its too cold and icy to ride in my area I will be content to see that beautiful new RK sitting in my garage, thing of beauty.

The Road King is a great bike and I almost bought it last year, but settled on the Heritage Classic. It’s a good touring bike too just not quite as heavy. Much easier to move around my garage. The only downside is that the saddle bags are a bit smaller than the Road King or Street Glide. I’ve enjoyed your road trip videos. Very impressed with such a petite girl riding these big bikes and even in the rain. Hope you have nothing but sunny skies and warm temperatures for your Florida trip. It’s going to be in the 60’s here in North GA today so I’m going riding myself! Ride safe.

Doodle, it’s videos like this that keeps me connected to the HD spirit! I traded a Lowrider last year for an ADV bike and it has been a great experience so far. But nothing compares to HD Touring bikes! Thanks for keeping that spirit alive. Have a great time on your trip!

I love that you get the bug for a trip, and then make it happen! Speaking of bugs, take a pic of your wind screen when you get there. Please be careful, sudden rain storms, followed by blinding Florida sun is like driving on a wet mirror. Watch for Armadillos, alligators & other assorted critters. Don't try to jump across the missing span on the abandoned railroad Bridge! LOL. Lots of natural beauty down there, can't wait to see an update ! Take care.

That is great, that HD is working with you. I am always looking at things like that. I love to ride but am to deep into my working life to change at this point. I will be able to start more free time in 7 years until then it is time off and long weekends. Love your content. Keep up the great fun work.
Hey Doodle, I've been riding street bikes for over 35 years and have never owned a Harley but one thing I do like about them is they have dealerships and mechanics allover the place and that makes for easy access to parts and service when you're on a road trip. Prayers Flying for safe travels!

I used to only ride sports bikes then I got older and its all about comfort and Harley's do it the best! Located in O-Town, FL and rode to the Keys before. Its like your riding on top of the ocean, Enjoy!

Road king standard is my favorite HD, makes an astounding performance bagger.
When I went to the USA 30 years ago, I went to Atlanta and I did bike (bicycle) racing. We would go up to the North Georgia mountains every Wednesday to Dahlonega and do a 56-mile circuit through the mountains. Beautiful countryside. Had a lady at a KFC drive-through shout "Y'all come back now, ya hear!" Made my day.
Now, I live in Thailand and ride a Harley (Dyna Streetbob), I'm new to your channel and really enjoy your content.
Have you ever heard of 'Million Dollar Bogan"? He's Australian and travels around the world now riding Harley's, right now he's in the U.K. and will be going to Ireland (my home) next. Take care

Key West trip woot woot. I love the Keys. Your gonna love that trip. Seven Mile Bridge is awesome. Been across it a 4 times. Dream of mine is to take a road trip on my Ultra Limited to the Keys and ride Seven Mile Bridge. Great channel Doodle safe travels.

I started watching you because you started out on a Suzuki S40 which was the same bike and time I was starting out on in. I now have a 2000 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1500 which I just triked. I also love traveling solo everywhere. You inspire the younger generation to get out there and enjoy life. I'm 65 and don't plan to stop anytime soon.
This absolutely rules - Respect for doing this solo!!
I think you'd like the Heritage. Similar the Road King but it's 100lbs lighter making it easier to throw around and you sit lower.

Ive got a 2011 Road King..........I love it!! I gave my son my 2007 Sportster, and after the Sportster I was nervous about the weight difference at first , but after a while , it was easier than the Sportster to handle. I wasn't a Harley fan until I rode one then it was like "I get it now". Traffic on Hwy 1 can be congested. Ride it going to Key West around rush hour and weekends. Bring summer clothes. Enjoy, Ride Safe.

I’ve had 3 Harleys and numerous Japanese bikes.I love them all. The bias some people have against brands is kinda crazy, just be open to adventure and fun and let go of the nonsense and ride them all. You want to rack up great experiences with all the brands. Have fun with this new ride! I think I might try a Triumph bobber this spring and see where that adventure takes me.

I bought the 2016 V7ii because the max torque flattens out at 2800 rpm. The 2017 V7lll maxes & flattens out at 4800.
The later 850cc engines have higher output, but the bike is 60 lbs heavier.
I'm not racing around, just want the low end / low rpm grunt.
Asthetically, they all look good to me, especially the 2021 V7 Special in metallic blue!
If your not riding a harley, your riding something else hahah.
As long as you enjoy it. Thats what matters.
