Is there a way to add a link to the events calendar page to a widget block that is on the left side of my homepage? (I hope this question makes sense, I have no idea what I am doing! lol)
I love love love The Events Calendar. I used their free version to build a calendar that is used by a large portion of one industry to track tradeshows. I eventually did some addons and man is it easy to use and administer.
How can i use reusable blocks on calender list or month view page above and below the list of events. I tried custimzing the template. The reusable block loses all its css if added in the template override process. By the way i wnat to do it on free version.
Can you possibly do a video of getting it to show up on my front page. Do I need dedicate a whole page for it or can I just put it as a widget on my front page.
I used the lite version of modern events calendar and I was okay with it. But because i needed to have priced events for my yoga classed i upgraded it to pro version. I had events calendar before that but as modern events is only once-paid, i decided to migrate to it. Thank you Kori for this great video by the way :)

Sure. You would create each city as their own category and then display a calendar with only that category visible. You may have to purchase the premium version of this plugin though to get the exact look you desire.

Hey Allan - thanks for reaching out. Is your website time set correctly? That's something that may be causing the error. Take a look under your dashboard > settings > general and set that time zone. See if that corrects the issue.
Do you want to add more to that page directly or change the design? You'll probably need the Paid Version so that you can use the Shortcodes to drop your calendar on any page or post you design. Either that or try this plugin wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-shortcode/

I'm having trouble formatting the individual event (the page it takes you after clicking "Find Out More") underneath the header. I'm not able to edit that page using Elementor. Is there another way to ensure the header of that pages matches the headers on the rest of the site that use Elementor? Thanks!

Kori; As a follow up. Could this freebie calendar plugin be configured as a Booking Calendar? I own beach front rental property and could certainly use one. Possibly you may know of such an animal as you amazingly seem to be able to come up with many valuable programs for the price of FREE. Booking Calendar might be the makings for another video segment? very limited on the free version for styling and shortcodes. Check out an additional plugin that may help wordpress.org/plugins/template-events-calendar/
@@KoriAshton thanks for your piece of advice. I think there is pretty limited version style-wise. However, do you know if there is any way I can insert any text blocks for the events page? It looks like I cannot place any text before or after the calendar
@@aroam2031 Are you calling the calendar to appear by shortcode or by their default /events page? What theme are you using? My route would be to use blocks to place text above or below and use a shortcode block to display the calendar, but that depends on your theme's capabilities.
@@KoriAshton thanks for your response! I use Astra theme and edit content on the Gutenberg page builder by default (since I do not have Elementor Pro). Also, I use the shortcode to add a calendar to my page builder. For some reason, I add the paragraph to the page builder and it's visible and displayed just right; however, when previewing the page, only a calendar with my event is displayed. With that said, I have no clue how to rectify this and whether I can add any other content besides the calendar itself. I wanted to jazz up the page and make it more to the design I have on the entire website (with background images and everything) but it does not seem to be feasible, when using Gutenberg at least. Do you happen to have a good solution to this?
@@KoriAshton on top of that, I just realized I cannot even edit a header or a footer on this specific page where the calendar is. Why might be the issue in this case? I am devastated :(

Yep. Events now live at www.YOURURL.com/events So you can make a custom link in your header navigation and link to the overview of your full calendar.
It is difficult to follow where you are clicking since this video does not show the curser/pointer. Why?
Yeah - sadly I think my screen recording software didn't pick up my cursor throughout the demo. :( That issue is fixed now, thankfully!

With this plugin - that's only a pro feature. It doesn't function in the free version.
