The scene where Maria reaches for Monty as she is dying is so heart wrenching because it shows that despite Monty being the product of her husband’s deceit, she loved him as her own and wanted him by her in her final moments. And she died heartbroken seeing David push Monty away and blame him. Shefali was spectacular in her role from start to finish. Her amazing acting planted the deep emotions in the movie.

True Maria was angry with her husband for cheating her but she truly loved Monty a lot it is not his fault
Poor Monty 😢 without committing any mistake he gets blamed a lot, 💗 but finally his brother seeks forgiveness from him, and takes him.. The hardwork and dedication and success of Monty is the life 🧬 line 💗 of this story
i think she also extended her hand towards monty to tell her in a way that all that she said earlier doesn't dilute her love for him. she didn't want the last interaction to be her calling him a mistake

I couldn't read a single comment regarding the Young David's acting. I had goosebumps when he looked at his father when his mother died. His eyes were burning with anger and hatred. Most Bollywood actors cannot do that but he was wayyyy to goooood!!!!!!

11:13 This scene of David, Monty and Gary looking into their younger-self as Maria's body is being buried, with that amazing bg score is so damn good✨. Especially the way Shefali portrayed a mother who goes through so much pain and sufferings and yet caring for her children, especially Monty who ain't even her biological child, is so great ♥️
It also reflects that she was the one who who kept them binding and makes them a family. After her passing away, they never could be the family again. And the last scene of the movie where Monty said 'she was my mother also' brings the closure of their years long agony.

One of the best acting scenes one can ever see! Sure Sheffali Ji is the undisputed no.1 of the whole scene, agree also that young David's acting is exceptional; but I also admire Jackie Shroff's acting, it was really difficult to master the drunken attitude and emotions and mix of guilt and rudness and the shock when he comes to moments of awarness..etc; in fact this whole movie Jackie Sir offered the best acting of his whole career, and if I think of the best 10 performances I saw in Bollywood I always count his role in this movie especially in the final scenes of the film; maybe because Sheffali's talent is bigger so the phenomenal performance she made was kind of expected and no surprise; but it was Jackie Shroff the actor to admire in the whole movie with the scenes of meeting his grandchild, drunkiness, the guilt scene with Siddarth, the final scenes...etc
