Michael and Janet are so alike; peas in a pod. Their modesty and shyness is so endearing. Especially when you reach that level of fame and celebrity.

A sorta sad fact: the jacket Michael wore here was one of his favorite pieces of clothing, to the point that they wanted to bury him in it when he died. They couldn't find the original, Michael Bush (who designed and made it) theorized that Jackson gave it away because he would do things like that and had to make a new one for him.

its kinda sad cus in the dangerous era, he was finally opening up more, in his music, in his speeches like this one, to the public, in interviews and the public really began to like him even more as a person after all these crazy rumors of the 80s. they understood him more. it sucks that after all of this, only 6 months after this speech, the allegations would change his life, his career and the publics perception of him forever.

What a beautifully heartbreaking powerful speech 😢😢 he is so right about that's why there is war and so many people in prison because their childhood was stolen from them, you don't even have to be a psychologist to know children who suffered trauma or abuse in childhood have trouble on several areas of their lives in adulthood, childhood is the most important stage of a person's life, it's when your personality gets formed depending on your experiences it does affect and shape who you become, Michael was very aware of this, he was way ahead of his time, not many people talked about the importance of a healthy childhood, Michael knew more than anyone how damaging it was not to receive love and affection and not being able to be a kid, that is why he did everything he could to help all the kids around the world and bring a smile to their faces, and play with them so that he could also heal by bringing out his inner child that was never able to come out as a child and be one of them, it was like his mission, he visited children's hospitals and orphanages constantly and he was the biggest advocate for children's rights, always stressing how parents should give more love and attention to their children and bond with them and how kids should not work at such an early age and should be able to enjoy their childhoods, now that I think about it maybe that's why this generation is so depressed, unfortunately many people just can't accept or understand the level of purity compassion and love this man had ❤❤❤ Michael has got to be the most misunderstood celebrity. Anyway sorry for the rant it is just so sad I had to comment 😂

The outfit he’s wearing in this video was his all time favorite outfit. He was buried in this outfit. They couldn’t find it after he died, so his designer made an authentic one to the one he was wearing here! I’ve always loved this outfit of him - so iconic! They added black gloves as well as a big gold belt with multiple colored diamonds and rhinestones for his burial! Rest in Power King! 🐐
He "disappeared" but not really after the 1993 allegations against him right before he was about to go on his dangerous world tour. He still managed to push through - had to only cancel 1-2 shows due to him doing really bad during that time and being super super heartbroken. I have absolutely no idea how the hell he was able to push through after what happened. I’ve never ever seen anyone with as thick of a skin as Michael Jackson had. It’s just wild to me how someone so good went through so much scrutiny for at least 25 Years.( half of his life ).

About him speaking more words than usual... Michael was 33 by the release of Dangerous so this is where you will really start to see him become more vocal and expressive (still reserved) but with alot more presence than before. By this time he had already done the Oprah interview as well I believe

He was one in a billion Seph. He transcended humanity like no other man, yet he only wanted to be treated like a human.
You’re doing a wonderful job learning about his mission on earth, to believe in and helping children. He wanted to be remembered for his humanitarianism above all, not his work. We’ll never forget.
Thank you dear Seph, much love to you. Together we’ll spread the truth about him. 🙏

WOW!! Thanks for another great reaction. Don't feel bad with saying how similar Michael and Janet look. If you start reacting to her(which I really hope you do because she is AMAZING!!!) you'll see the similarities even more. Especially when you get to her live shows and realize that they move almost the same when they're performing. I'm glad you took the time to take this Michael Jackson journey. I recently took the same journey myself(I NEVER believed any of the negative stuff I've just been a casual fan listening to his greatest hits). As someone said, the more you learn, the more you love him, and the more watching anything from 1993 becomes hard to watch. He was having a great year. He had the Super Bowl, the AMAs performance, the Oprah interview, this award you reacted to, he went on the second leg of the Dangerous tour..... Things were great until..... I feel you with dreading what's coming. Before you leave the Dangerous era, you are gonna have to get into those ridiculous, nasty allegations because his next album, the HIStory album, is in direct response to that. May I suggest the Square One Doc when you're ready. Buckle up, though, because you are in for a most unpleasant ride....

When you get a chance, def dive into Janet's catalogue. Michael referred to her as the Queen of Music and it was because she dives into so many genre's successfully. Her videos are works of art, just like MJ and the family. Beyond talented. Nice reaction too man. MJ was a one of a kind.

Michael Bush (Michael's costume designer) recalled that this beaded white military jacket was Michael's favourite piece. You may remember my comment about Madonna and the Oscars: Michael's costume designer made 2 jackets because Michael couldn't decide. This is the jacket he saved for the Grammys.

As far as Michael and Janet looking alike, it's plain to see. Not a problem you mentioned it. Some of the tabloids though tried to start rumors about Michael and Janet or Michael and Latoya secretly being the same people. Michael was simply opening with a joke about it. He had been out of the spotlight for awhile. He was working on the dangerous album. He was actually working on being more outgoing and speaking publicly. Instead of his few words he was writing speeches and talking on things he wanted to talk about. Causes he felt mattered.
I know you're dreading the next era of his life, but you will be so proud of the strength he displayed getting through those times. He continued to try to be more open and give interviews and share parts of himself despite all the garbage and some of my favorite music came from him expressing his strength in the face.of that adversity. The History album is his answer to the garbage that happens in the next era of his life. His strength and fortitude is an inspiration.

Seph, you are a very empathic person and really understand a lot about Michael and his life, although you haven´t been a fan for a long time.
Michael published a book with his own poetry and texts in the early 90s: DANCING THE DREAM. He quoted from this book during this speech you just watched. I recommend reading this book (I think you can also find excerpts from it online).

Amazing reaction Seph. I just love your reactions to Michael Jackson so much. And you are absolutely right. Michael and Janet look so much alike that the media was spreading a rumour that they were the same person. Some people even said they were twins even tho Michael was 8 years older than Janet. If you see old pictures of them, you will see the resemblance more. And most of the Jacksons have soft voice like their mother Katherine. So they kind of sound the same. Super talented and awesome family. God bless them all.❤❤❤

This was happiest he looked in years, just for a couple later be publicly shamed and humiliated to an extreme level, almost killing him. He made history a couple times in 93, especially setting superbowl halftime show standards, just for the haters/media and extortionists to take advantage of his kindness, and permanently stain his legacy.

Remarkable that Michael felt he had to devote a significant amount of his acceptance speech to airing his grievances. It had to be excruciating for him to say in front of that massive audience, "I wasn't aware that the world thought I was so weird and bizarre." (12:25)

look at him so gorge .... imagine the press during BAD and Dangerous era already always mocking his looks and saying he was ugly.
hahaha u watched a load of spoilers...who said this is what u need to watch now?
i am kinda jealous this is all new to you ....gosh MJ took the world on a trip...and u get it all at once.
Reg the effects thing. He used to say he wants to be a pioneer. A pathmaker...and he truly was. And now they try to take it from him and wash all over it like it never existed and it works. Look how u never knew all of this.
You didn't say anything wrong reg. Janet and Michael. They looked similar. It was just the press saying they were one person.
Imagine him adressing what is written about him and the worst has not yet even hit him there.
MJ always had times where he was completely off the radar for a while. Yes. But then the press started this "where is he". Media lost the ultimate target to write about anything under the sun. So even today they drag him into any type of article to get clicks and clout bc his name still draws ppl in to read like no other. Sadly the stories are so dirty and evil and created over the years a feeling with ppl to stay away from him and mock him and not like him. Just like it happened to you. Yet we knew him. We knew him in and out.
Look at him mentioning all these ppl and always highlighting them and none of them mention him today in their speeches. MJ even mentioned his idols amongst them forgotten stars like Jackie Wilson at the Grammys 84 (who died forgotten and poor and alone. He even paid for his funeral). This how kids of the era learned of his idols and started looking into them and brought them back into the spotlight. Through him i started listening to a lot of black artists. He always used his fame to help and put the spotlight on others.
And yes true MJ Fans love him as a person over the personality. MJ the human was even more beautiful than the superstar.

i don't know where i was when this aired in 1993. i missed it entirely. i am soo glad it was included on his HIStory On Film: Volume II DVD (1995). seeing Michael and Janet being brother and sister was soo cool. she is Michael's counterpart in every way...as an artist and as a person. she can sing, she can move, she is iconic. she has her own style. and no need to apologize for your observation. some people thought that then. they even said that about Michael and his other sister, LaToya. they said he would switch personas.
and that man seated behind Michael who playfully grabbed Michael's shoulder when Janet was introducing Michael is legendary rapper LL Cool J. they recorded a song together for the Dangerous album called "Serious Effect" in 1990. it did not make the final album. but it was leaked to TH-cam in 2008. LL Cool J is now an actor. he just finished a tv series called "NCIS: Los Angeles" where he played a Federal Agent a part of a specialist team.

Nice start would be the video 'Scream' which at the time was the most expensive music video ever made, and both Michael and Janet are performing it. Also, there is a clip on from the recent Janet Jackson documentary in which you see Michael and Janet working on it.
Both Michael and Janet were heavily responsible for shaping the new jack swing popmusic genre in the early 90s. Songs like 'Love Will Never Do', 'Rhythm Nation' (Iconic song) fit in that range. Other huge Janet hits were 'Got 'till it's Gone' while more of a nice positive song that didn't really get it's due imo was 'Runaway'.
Also, when you see Michael in the audience, behind him there's LL Cool J. Now, I don't think you reacted to any rap songs, but I'm betting judging from the kind of guy you seem to be, you'll really like 'I Need Love'. It's quite special.
The MJ song you where wondering about was the live performance of Will You Be There, a song on the Dangerous album. The official video is basically a live performance as well, but I think there are two version's of a live performance to be found of this with an woman dressed as an angel coming down the stage on ropes. The album version actually has an extensive classical music intro.
When you say 'do I know her?', that woman is Brooke Shields. Long time friend of MJ and a pretty successful actress.

The story about Michael and Janet looking and sounding similar is an ongoing thing. It’s never been anything done with malice from the fans or anything. However, the tabloid media has always twisted even innocent things like this to make Michael look bad. But, don’t feel bad for pointing that out. It’s the truth and both of them we’re always cool with it and so are his fans.

It is Michael Jackson AI - Bring Me To Life (originally by Evanescence) by channel named Voice Of Mj. Michael aggressive voice fits the song so well. And also could be your introduction to ai vocals/ai tracks. And by the way ai tracks have normally the normal instruments with the voice being changed to whoever people want it to sound like. :) :D

I do a michael Jackson video 3 to 5 times a week on average. theres 16 songs in one tour and about 18 in the next tour. That would take me anything from 2 to 4 months to react to them all. Thats not including rehearsals or outtakes or making of's.
In that kinda time i could very easily put a masssiivveee dent in his album songs and life story "Which has been my main goal ever since i started doing this nearly a year ago"
So that's why i made the hard decision to hold off on the Tours and live performances until after. After that i'll very happily watch all of them :D
