      i think he says it like that in order to keep staying in this state and not let success get to him because as things move now he is poised for big things just like after he won tough enaugh. now Maven is more seasoned going through life and gained qualities even if he lost some atheleticism. doesnt matter too much because he is inspiring. i think its good that he talks as he talks because he will have phenomenal success having some qualities which are VERY much in need now starting with honesty and integrity. he is tough for aproacing some subjects its very hard to speak in public to so many people and do it with style also. and after i watched him on tough enaugh and what he said, well, he is better than WWE back then he was and he is better now, sure not in showmanship and flashy things but in everything else that matters now even more than back then. he is the right man to lead WWE and its good that he has high ambition high hunger even if he doesnt say it

    I've been a wrestling fan for 33 years. It has brought me so much joy in my life. I wrote a master's thesis on it. There have been some dark times, with Owen and Benoit coming to mind immediately. Those days were destructive to the industry. But, now, let's be honest, no one should have been surprised by these Vince allegations. Your channel has been a revelation. You love the business and you're honest. You truly do have an impact on wrestling, because you're you. Thank you.

    Thanks so much Mav for doing this. One of my best friends since 6th grade took her life in June of 2011 due to being raped by her commanding officer in the Navy. I was in the Army at the time & my NCOs refused to let me go home to get closure. They had no good reason for it, they were just being hateful to the new private because they could and because I was a new private, I didn’t know how to fight it. Then I turned suicidal, ended up with PTSD over it all, and was medically retired out after blowing my knees out.
    I have arthritis from my back all down to my feet on top of mental health issues. So a lot of the same physical problems you have actually (chronic pain all the time). I am now a 100% disabled veteran. I wish I could give more but I am on a fixed income as most of us disabled vets are. So this is something very near and dear to my heart. I actually missed the livestream because I was having nightmares about her passing. It has been almost 13 years now and that pain never goes away. So this is very near and dear to me. I also have a BA in Sociology from Georgia Southern and volunteered for the battered women’s shelters in Savannah. The stories are truly heartbreaking. Much love and respect Mav.

      Now, thank you SO MUCH for your service, I'm sorry for what you had to go through in there, and the negative effects it has left you with all these years later. You keep going brother, you keep on keeping on, I may not know you but damn do I appreciate ya!

      It's almost unheard of to get leave for the death of anyone other than the death of a family member. Your NCO's didn't hate you, you seem to take everything very personally, and at your own detriment. Congrats on the degree and helping women, but it's time to be a victor and not a victim.

    • @stevenhawkins5058
      @stevenhawkins5058 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      @@themobseat the problem is that nothing was going on. Like literally nothing. We were stateside, no deployments were scheduled. My 1st Sergeant and commander were irate as fuck when they found out what happened. 1st sarge literally said “we aren’t in the goddamn mountains of Afghanistan! I don’t care if it was his fucking dog, let his ass go home!! What y’all did was hateful and y’all are getting reprimanded. Now we got a serious fucking issue going on in this company because y’all are fucking shitbags.” He tore them a new asshole and my Commander did too right in front of me. It was some awful shit.
      They had no excuse to do that to me and I did take it personally. They did it to just fuck with me because I was brand new. Then years later they all got their asses in serious trouble with IG over claims of racism and had a one way ticket out over it. The mess hall was 98% black. Cliques formed and there were a lot of issues that went down. With that situation I largely ignored it all although when they interviewed me and made me give a sworn statement, I didn’t hesitate to throw them under the bus like they would do to me on a regular basis. They didn’t take care of their soldiers and were just fucking sorry. My dad was an NCO in the 1980s and was fucking appalled by the bs that they were doing. NCOs jobs are to take care of their soldiers but a lot of those people refused to do so, even when it meant they would get in trouble.
      I don’t take a lot of shit personally but that was a very unique situation. I am doing better though now. Figure if the worst that happens to me is night terrors and insomnia coupled with depression and anxiety, I done a lot better than most. I consider myself very lucky and thank God every single day for what I have even with the scars I have from it all. Just wanted to clarify that because yes, next of kin does matter, when you are deployed or there is some shit going down, but that wasn’t the case at all and we had 65 goddamn cooks in there. They didn’t need me there that badly. Something else that both my 1st sarge and commander reiterated because they would often get angry that they never let any of the cooks out of the mess hall for training.

      @stevenhawkins5058 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@geedee1264 we had some pretty toxic leadership back then. I hope the Army has cleaned house a bit, they were working on getting that cancer gone when I was in. I would read it in the Army Times about how the top brass were working hard on new promotional standards and changing the PT test to a Combat one. It seems some of those changes have occurred. I haven’t been in since 2013 and I couldn’t tell you what is going on in there, but I have heard it has gotten a lot better from friends of mine who are still in.
      The problem was in 2005 they let a lot of people in that should never have been allowed in to begin with. HS dropouts and felons. Pretty much anyone due to severe recruiting issues. Some of my NCOs would even brag about their criminal records as if that got them some sort of Mr badass award. I went in during a very bad time. That being said, I wouldn’t change a damn thing because God has blessed me immensely and I have a great life now. I just got some scars like a lot of people do. All I can do is work towards a brighter future and not dwell too much on the past. I just wanted to share this story to explain why what Mav is doing is near and dear to me. I hope someone finds this inspirational that there is light at the end of the tunnel and I am living proof of that.

    I stumbled upon your channel yesterday, and started binging shortly after. I'm more and more impressed with you after every video of yours I watch.
    Opening up publicly about trauma and coming forward with allegations such as these, especially when levied against someone with money and media influence like Vince, is often an incredibly difficult thing to do. This is why it's important to not minimize or be dismissive of those who are brave enough to step forward.
    On the other hand, the idea that a person is innocent until proven guilty is the cornerstone of the American justice system, and, alongside being tried by a jury of one's peers, is absolutely critical in keeping that system both fair and more difficult to abuse or corrupt.
    The delicate balance you've struck between these two ideals once again demonstrates your thoughtfulness and ability to think critically about complex and nuanced subjects, as well as to discuss them with class and decorum.
    In short, even though I haven't really watched wrestling in a couple decades (long enough ago to have learned about you through your TH-cam channel rather than on TV,) I'm glad the algorithm served me a video about something I haven't been into in a long time, and that I took a chance on a video by a former WWE star I'd never heard of.
