Hi, Akshat Sir, Thanks for sharing basic pattern analysis, Be with good company but in good time only. Chart tell current time is good or bad.. price-action trend - chart are GPS telling fund owner that your vehicle with fund is going in right direction or not. I like triangles, head and shoulder, Double bottom/top, cup and handle, trendline (line connecting 3 highs, 3 lows) most. stock/company News/results served to retailer last but price in chart tells first. I like technical analysis over fundamentals as chart has every thing in price, time, and volume. Fundaments tells what (I prefer either low debt with future trend or big name like @mb@ni-@d@ni stocks, just smallcap (rats) or midcap (rabbits), I don't ride on elephants @ 10-20% max cagr) , technical tells when. Bhav bhagwan che (price is god). price shows immediate reaction to everything (good or bad, hidden news or traps). learning cart is combination of art and science. Build your own plan/strategy + patience + luck + trust + control on emotions makes a lot money in market, for technical analyst not monitoring (at least once in week) regularly and taking timely action, or extra hope or past trade revenge or not accepting mistake leads to erase portfolio. 1-2 pattern enough to make good money if anyone master it. As simple as moving averages do works well. I believe in weekly candle chart with 3 wave (highs-lows) tight consolidation with multi-year breakout. chart is road map. lots of technical indicators available but with practice no indicator required, just price action is enough. practice lot before investing on any trade with indicators, it can go wrong so trade with stop loss if you use indicators. last but not least use LOG SCALE in weekly or higher timeframe chart with many candles (5-10+ years). as higher time frame chart are not manipulated and gives you right trend indication. . Happy investing.

The content of yours is good for fundamentals, won't work for technical analysis, people who are new don't say wow and all you will burn your hand as there is no guidance when to sell and trust me it won't work these days as market is highly volatile. Also it will be difficult to square off ur position once these type of stock start giving break out becz no one can tell you when to sell
Akshat.. HDFC Bank is showing triple bottom pattern.. So likely that it will breakout.. I followed ur HUL advice and purchased few shares at ~2000..I regret to have missed the chance to buy more..
