Rod Woodson is the greatest DB I’ve ever seen. He is one of the top 3 or 4 cornerbacks of all time and one of the best 3 or 4 safety’s. The fact that he came back after blowing out his knee in 1995 is amazing. 71 career interceptions third all time and I believe 17 career TD returns. He was even better at safety than cornerback which is crazy.
That was his college position(safety) he ran a 4.3. They made him a corner as no safety literally ever ran a 4.3. Especially look at how truly big he was. He was large frame and could hit like a truck. Not run and duck like some other business decision guys
Rod Woodson Played 17 years from 1987-2003 (4 teams) 11x Pro Bowl selection 6x All Pro selection Super Bowl champion in 2000 1993 Defensive Player of the Year 1990's All Decade Team 71 career interceptions ranks 3rd all time. 1,483 return yards ranks 2nd all time. 32 career fumble recoveries 17 career touchdowns (12 interception returns, 1 fumble return, 2 kickoff returns, 2 punt returns). He holds the league record for interceptions returned for touchdown with 12. Earned All Pro selections as cornerback, safety and kick returner. As a testament to his work ethic and consistency here is what he did at age 37 in 2002. Started in all 16 games Recorded 82 combined tackles (70 solo) 8 interceptions (career-high) for 225 return yards 3 fumble recoveries 7 pass deflections 1 touchdown All Pro selection Pro Bowl selection Super Bowl appearance
As much as it sucked seeing him leave Pittsburgh, which Dan Rooney always regretted, and as much as I hate the Ravens, I'm glad that Rod got a ring in Baltimore. He deserved to be a champion. Even though he won his ring in Baltimore and is forever linked to that great 2000 Ravens Defense, he retired a Steeler and considers himself a Steeler today.
He would intercept passes, run them back for a td, stuff a receiver at the line, get to the outside rush first, crack open opposing qbs, chase down other db's receiver, force a fumble, return kicks, return punts, turn water into wine and beat the '96 chicago bulls.
I can't stop your opinion.......Rod may be the best all around corner....but Deion can cover better than anyone....His hands are just as good as anyone.......the only weakness he had was tackling...

Not like Deion Sanders
@@anonymoususer.999 They both played 16 years and Rod beats Deion in every category.
Deion Sanders could too but Rod is my favorite as a Steeler fan however Primetime introduced me to corner as a kid
Rod was the reason I became a Steelers fan 🙏🖖🥇
On Techmo Bowl, I could return every kickoff for a TD with Woodson. He was the real deal.
On the first Madden I could corner blitz with woodson and destroy the QB every time
Favorite DB of all time......dude is a Legend.
The greatest CB of all time! unparalleled
Damn rod was super fast
Ryan Mizell people forget he ran track in school
I believe he ran a personal best 10.2 in the 100 meters. World-class speed.
Credit that to his long stride. Once he hit the open field, He was a burner.

He should have never left Pittsburgh greatest corner of all time
He got a ring and played in A Hystorical defense.I mean it seems a really good deal to me
It's either Hot Rod or Deion Primetime Sanders but I agree as a Steelers fan wish they never let him go
