This is such a great song I remember recording this off the radio and playing it over and over again! I love several Chaka Khan songs, "Feel For You" was EXTREMELY popular in the early 80's. "Through The Fire" "I'm Every Woman" and a duet she did with Peter Cetera ( lead singer of Chicago) " Feels Like Heaven"
Great song to pick for your first reaction to Chaka. Has it all, great beat to dance to, shows her vocal range, a sexy song. My favorite Chaka song!! Gets ya up and movin'
As well as her being gorgeous, this song has to be in my top 10 of all time! Today I still play Breakdance The Movie Soundtrack and when this song comes on I'm immediately transported to summertime 1984 ( the song was released the year before I think). I used to go to this big gym and when this song came on all my lifts went up! This is an all time classic for me so I enjoyed your reaction Jayvee :-)
Maybe I'm mistaken, but I seem to remember Chaka Kahn and her group was called; "Rufus K. and Chaka Kahn." I think they were touring under that name back in the late 70's. I remember seeing her group on Soul Train. Fantastic. Don Cornelius was interviewing the group after a song, trying lay down his "smooth-mac - daddy-o" on Chaka, and Rufus, or maybe it was some other fellow in the group, wasn't having it. Kinda made me wonder if some words were exchanged, after the taping. This hit was on heavy radio play rotation in '84. It was also featured in the soundtrack for the movie, "Breakin", with Boogaloo Shrimp, and Shabba-Doo. (Michael Chabers, and Adolfo Quiñones [rip]). Incidentally...Adolfo was also a member of the dance group called, "The Lockers". They were break dancers, and pop-lockers. The group featured: Toni Basil (Hey Mickie you're so fine), Don "Campbell-lock" Campbell, Fred "penguin" ("Rerun" from "What's Happening") Berry, & Adolfo "Shabba-Doo" Quiñones. I could be wrong, but I think Jeffrey Daniel from the music group "Shalamar" (Jodie Watley, & Howard Hewitt) was also involved with them somehow, don't know, I could be mistaken. Jeffrey Daniel was a break dancer as well!

If you're starting on what they call 80s Groove, you need to listen to Patrice Rushen song Forget Me Nots
One of my favourite tunes! ♡♡♡

My favorite Chaka Khan song..She is a legend, loved her since she was in the group Rufus..Awesome reaction Jay and love your shirt!!
Appears in the 1984 movie soundtrack of Breakin.Maybe the best track of the soundtrack and absolutely banger of the 80s.Golden Times Golden Music.Chaka is a legend!
Of course, you had to have heard this iconic classic song before. This is my favourite song by Chaka Khan. She’s a living legend.
Tell me something good, Sweet thing, I feel for you, I'm Every Woman, and Through the fire are some of her big hits!🎶💃🎸🔥
Lovely to see a warm reaction to such a beautiful song. Love Chaka.
