      I wonder if some of the South American countries would be doing better as a province of Spain. The independence of most of these countries have led to extreme corruption. In Spain we are not the richest. But every province of Spain has basic goods and services.

As a peruvian, it would be great to cover my country given that it recieves little to no attention in english speaking media but they should because of it's location and the drug cartels and other organised crime groups that quietly operate there and I dare saying control the Republic of Peru's state[or are in the process of doing so] and are the ones responsible for the deforestation of the peruvian amazon by mining and pollution[which isn't talked about it much even in spanish speaking media].

    What people do not realize is about the unelected leader of Haiti that was backed by the 3 powers was so that aid treaties could be set up. No country can enter another without an agreement with someone in charge lest it be considered an act of aggression if not out right war. It’s a terrible situation… Kenya was set to send its special ops police force to safeguard civilians & dispense aid but bc the gangs ( who profiting wildly from lawlessness) forced the resignation of Henri’ the deployment had to be stopped.

      If you want to be brainwashed by his liberal narrative not based on facts and idiotic “solutions” sure. He never mentioned personal responsibility once! Also making this trip easier just enriches the gangs trafficking these people even more! That is NOT the answer. If this flow is stopped none of these people are trafficked, raped or killed- full stop.

    The Republic of Panama is an isthmus.

    Isn't it funny how the IMF's austerity policies never seem to actually help struggling countries, and instead tend to just make things worse?
    And yet, they never actually adjust their policies based on their _numerous_ failures ...

    I cried when the woman spoke about losing her husband. She spoke so highly of him she must have loved him so deeply and I can’t imagine losing my husband like that. I wish people realized that making it harder to immigrate finds the drug cartels everyone screams so damn much about. It’s a never ending cycle.

    • @arthas640
      @arthas640 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They basically do. The US gives a lot to mexico and various central American countries mostly to stifle crime and illegal immigration, the problem is both of those things are problems because the governments are corrupt and incompetent so what they don't steal gets ineffectively and inefficiently used. Give them a billion dollars to build a defensive moat across the gap and you'll be lucky if a million dollar fence gets built. Gotta remember these are countries that make Russia well run.

    The issues in venezuela are way before the sanctions. Removing them will not really change things much I can atest.

    • @CogitoEdu
      @CogitoEdu  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +20

      If the sanctions weren't effective they wouldn't exist. Things were bad in Venezuela before the sanctions yes. Things were bad in Ireland and Greece in 2008 and in Argentina in 2002. Imagine if during the peak of those crisis in those countries suddenly the major/only export of that nation, the export it used to earn hard currency used to purchase imports, was sanctioned and thus cut off from the global market. It would lock the economic disaster in forever. Venezuela cannot economically recover under sanctions, that's literally the purpose of the sanctions.
