I always really like the old growth birch forests because it makes birch look more accurate, due to them being taller, it makes them look thinner. I also think naturally generated trees should be taller, it doesn't only look beautiful, but also makes it easier to traverse, which also makes horses more viable.
The world of Minecraft is supposed to be scaled down a bit, but yeah if they made all trees at least two blocks taller, I don't think many people would complain lol. I would love to be able to actually ride my horse through the forest without constantly trying to get around trees that are the size of big bushes irl
@@toycat After the video, I really wanted to test it in creative mode without flying at how long it would take me to find a jungle. And I kid you not it took one minute and a half from locating the closest forest to finding the jungle. This obviously is an exceptionally rare instance but I was jaw dropping with just how accurate it was
Can we really appreciate the person(s) who makes each room for these videos? They're really freaking cool and really add on to the video's charm. Also I'm so happy you still do those riddles/jokes (on the sign) at the end of each video even after all these years

@@IuIianos Oh Okay. I mean I imagine most of the time some biomes don’t generate next to or within certain Biomes . I’ve never seen a Mangrove Swamp generate next to a Cold Biome.
@@4wdsquirrel48 Yeah I think you are right, it could also have to do with the removal of Some Biomes. wait, have I been pronouncing taiga wrong my entire time playing the game? Ever since 2018 when I started playing Ive pronounced it as t-aye-ga but is it actually pronounced as t-eye-ga?
This is just what I needed! I was wondering how I was going to find everything I wanted to find for the resources I want to gather in my survival world. I didn't want to have to look up a map to refer to, as it felt less immersive and exciting than exploring does. The tips in this video are perfect timing, since I found my Nether Fortress by sheer dumb luck and don't want to count on that for other things. Happy to see another Toycat Video helping me find more ways to enjoy one of my favourite games.
maps are ruined on mobile cant evesee them because their to small test pls toycat maybee theyl listen to you oh and i dont know wich direction my mansion is cus theres just a square now so i have to use chunkbase
with locator maps, you can use what edge of the map you are on to figure out which direction to go. if you are on the bottom (south) side of the map, go north. same for every other direction. use the sun to figure out the direction if you dont know how to figure it out from coords. it rises in the east and sets in the west, so if you need to go north it should rise on your right and set on your left.
Since I started in the best seed that minecraft has to offer I already have all the biomes around. You start close to a Mushroom island and all biomes surround this island. I can get easily all wood types existing. And by the way, even the winterdrop works in this seed and a fairly large pale garden is also around. Pale garden generates inside or near dark forests.
There's actually one other factor that determines where biomes can be found: continentiality. It's a range of how far close or away from the ocean a biome needs to be in order to generate. All ocean biomes, as well as the Mushroom Island, have continentiality of 0-0, while biomes like the mountain family of biomes, dripstone caves, and deep dark biomes have continentiality ranges that start much higher, meaning they can never be ajacent to the ocean. Most biomes, though, have very broad ranges, so they don't care nearly as much about how close the ocean is.

I know right! It's so much more interesting to notice the temperate biomes border each other than to just chunk base a mesa haha.

Yeah

7:47 No, you find planes in the sky, toycat.
no, you find planes in algebra and geometry
Taigas, means berries and foxes, with both is pretty easy to make an infinite berry supply to sell to butchers (or food early game)

Cold biomes never generate Right next to a Warm Biome. For example Deserts cannot generate next to Snow Biomes.
@@kolkagaming1234 This is not true. It is relatively rare for it to happen but they can spawn next to each other.

you can turn on coordinates in settings and use those for now. just save your important location’s coordinates in your notes app.
