      Yes I am definitely going to continue, I just find it hard to find time for it because of uni and work.
      But I will take a 1-2 months off in the near future and try to focus on creating videos because I really enjoy it, and I see that there are people who also like it!

    Lodash, what are you building now?

  • @DevlogBill
    @DevlogBill ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Lodash, I was learning Frontend web development for 1 year. Learned lots of JavaScript, decent amount of CSS3 for styling and even learned some React. I made only a couple of projects not much in this one year because I was in tutorial hell. But this year I (01/01/23) I switched to Android with Kotlin. I am really enjoying the process. I feel like I am picking up Kotlin quickly since I know JavaScript. My only worry is Will I loose my skills in web development?
    Also I never learned much about the backend. I only have some knowledge on sessions, cookies, $_GET and $_POST with PHP. Which I was learning for 1 month while creating websites with css and JavaScript and finally I learned basic queries with SQL.
    The things I learned from web development are they transferable to Android development?
    Thanks for sharing your experience

      Hi! The more topics you learn about, the easier it gets to learn something new, and it's easy to get back into something you already know. There are a lot of things from web development that you can transfer to android!
      Good luck with your journey!

      Kotlin is amazing. I think about it now? Despite the fact I did a little of PHP and Python. If I really think about it I can honestly say JavaScript was my first programming language. Now after a couple of months I learned so much with Kotlin using interfaces, abstract class, init method, open class, inheritance, mutableListOf(), listOf(), etc, etc. Learning Kotlin opened my mind and I find if i don't use a strongly typed language it feels weird. Now I don't know what I would do if the programming language isn't strongly typed. By me learning Kotlin I decided to try out TypeScript and I think I figured it out only within 4 hours. The hardest thing was creating the JSON file through node.js for TypeScript. I think the process of importing files to simple use TypeScript is a pain in the butt. Which is why I prefer Kotlin.
      Great Vide!

    Bro you're pushing your self too much (10 hours average per day 🙄) and some concepts need to be on your full concentration to understand how it works pretty well not just like "oh it works let's move to the next step " because at some point no google neither stack overflow can help you , but if your goal was building chat app you can simply do that by following Firebase codelabe without learning all this things 😁 ..

    • @_.lodash4275
      @_.lodash4275  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, 10 hours a day is a little too much🙄; I should have spent more time socializing.
      Creating a working project is the fastest way to learn some new framework or technology. As you do your projects, you can choose some concepts and take the time to understand them! You and I are saying the same thing, just in a different order.😁😁
