I'll be showing you which orchids are leaving the patio and why they didn't thrive in my current setup.
Starting with the delicate Zygonisia Murasakikomachi, which unfortunately never recovered after a simple up-potting, despite my best efforts to nurture it through the winter months indoors. 🪴 These orchids have sensitive roots, and despite providing them with the ideal temperatures, they just didn't bounce back.
Next, meet the Leptotes Bicolor 2.0, a stunning gift from Toekie World Marc and Akerne Orchids. While it started strong, it struggled in my semi-hydroponic setup and sadly didn't adapt to my winter conditions. 🌱
We'll also discuss the challenges faced by my Cattleya schilleriana and Dendrobium aurantiflammeum, both of which faced environmental hurdles and pests that proved too difficult to overcome. Despite my care, their delicate nature meant they couldn't thrive in my climate.
Additionally, I'll share the unfortunate journey of my Tolumnia collection, once a thriving group of 19 orchids now reduced due to persistent scale infestations. 🌸 These orchids need a stable environment that I couldn't provide.
Finally, witness my battle with the Cymbidium, which faced neglect and a surprise heatwave, leading to its decline. This video is about embracing the realities of orchid care and making room for future growth. 🌼
