I think this song is honestly really revolutionary for Bollywood. That the lead actress isn't shying away and being innocent and coy. She's confident, feisty, and flirty. She's playing along with his teasing and giving it back to him. It feels really refreshing and exciting to watch the two actors interact with each other in this video.

It's been 9 years...and this song and mv lives in my head. Not only is it so nice to hear, esp because of the bass, but the video is flawless. That woman is so god damn beautiful.......... I am just so captivated by her... just wow. Anyone know her name? I have no cultural tie with India but I have always been interested in the culture.
If you haven't already, you should so watch her performance to "nagada sang dhol", which is from the same movie as this. I'm sure you'll also enjoy her recent video on a song called "Lovely" too :p. She's my favorite Bollywood actress!
+DarkOsprey28 That has always been the thing but india is getting westernised at a very fast rate and losing all such things,i am talking about everything from culture,language...just everything....songs,movies,habits,everything...that made indians the indians...20-50 years from now, everything will be lost...because here people can't appreciate what they have, what makes them unique, what separates them, what they stand for...until they are told by someone from outside...i live here,i am about to touch 20,i see kids,i see people of my age,i know what is happening around what are their tastes, what they like....That has always been the same since very ancient time when we could not carry forward the researches of wise men like aryabhatta, etc or even before that when manuscripts travelled places and being told by them who read it that they discovered it...Dig a bit deeper, you'll find out. :(
+Himanshu Rohela yes absolutely, everything is becoming so westernised in india, not only in india but also in my country that it's terrible to think that we are losing the culture that we imbibed from our ancestors. i don't understand what kind of a village girl kisses a stranger on his lips at the very first meeting? shame on this new culture. a day will come when boys and girls will openly kiss and make out with each other in front of their parents and have no regrets with whatsoever they are doing!!!
Jahangir Hussain umm that was not my point though i was not talking about kisses or sex...i was just talking about things in general like language, daily activities, etc.
I dont have the words to describe this video. Its so so fantastic. The way the music bursts in at the beginning never gets old, i could listen to it forever. The way she keeps her bright smile the first time she sees him and then just raises her chin the second time shows her character so well i cant explain it! And in the kal kal behta tha line the way he keeps her eyes on her even when he should turn his head left, just wow. A masterpiece.
I'm from Italy and I'm a great fan of DeepVeer, I've just discovered this movie and I'm in love with them 😍 such a beautiful strong chemistry. I'm also discovering the Indian culture, it's really full of surprises. I love all these traditional dances ❤
@L J it is the oldest continuous culture, starting from the Indus valley to the present, which is still flourishing. Greek, Egyptian, Chinese, Incan are all dead and desolate, except in stories. Cope, ricebag.
Watching this video, after having done some research into Indian culture, helped it make a lot more sense. I already found the intricate dancing, hand gestures, and the other aspects entirely fascinating. Now knowing what some of it actually means, made it even more intriguing. Absolutely love the music. Love love the music. One of my favorite songs out of Bollywood and Indian culture in general (I assume this is Bollywood. Not familiar with any other Indian movie outfits). Thanks to hind lil (not to far down the comments) for also clarifying the first portion of the video, between the two. It was clear the two were interested in each other, but the implications were a mystery without hind lil's helpful explanation.
Agreed, this is the best part of the movie in my humble opinion. The rest of it was a typical Bollywood remake of Romeo and Juliet, nothing too exciting.

That woman is so god damn beautiful.......... I am just so captivated by her... just wow. Anyone know her name? I have no cultural tie with India but I have always been interested in the culture.
Deepika padukone
Bhova Nnee thank you :)
If you haven't already, you should so watch her performance to "nagada sang dhol", which is from the same movie as this. I'm sure you'll also enjoy her recent video on a song called "Lovely" too :p.
She's my favorite Bollywood actress!
FizXify Thank you :)

You should check out Priyanka Choprah she is even more prettier and has even more charisma! :-)
Such a rich culture , with flawless innocent flirting
Where are u from?
Wow! Sending blessings to everyone from Greece. I just love the Indian dancing in movies.❤️🌷
So glad they're finally getting married. Their chemistry is amazing.
Iumcxdaluuiilkki
There was more emotion in that one look they shared at the start, than any I've experienced from Western romantic movies. Song and dance was amazing!
Himanshu Rohela I'm so sorry to hear that. :(
+Himanshu Rohela yes absolutely, everything is becoming so westernised in india, not only in india but also in my country that it's terrible to think that we are losing the culture that we imbibed from our ancestors. i don't understand what kind of a village girl kisses a stranger on his lips at the very first meeting? shame on this new culture. a day will come when boys and girls will openly kiss and make out with each other in front of their parents and have no regrets with whatsoever they are doing!!!
Jahangir Hussain
umm that was not my point though i was not talking about kisses or sex...i was just talking about things in general like language, daily activities, etc.
I understand but I used that as a reference to the new culture in india, it's going bad, really bad!
I just saw the movie, the ending was unexpected, it broke my heart. The only thing that comforted me was the fact that in real life they are married.
What a stunning scene, song, choreography, cinematography and acting!!! Costumes and singing, music my goodness 😱😱😍😍🥵🥵🔥🔥🔥
Magic of SLB.

One of the oldest cultures and Beautiful culture known as hindustani culture...proud to be an India🇮🇳
Hindu culture*
'the' oldest culture not one of the oldest
Rabari
@L J it is the oldest continuous culture, starting from the Indus valley to the present, which is still flourishing. Greek, Egyptian, Chinese, Incan are all dead and desolate, except in stories. Cope, ricebag.
@L J no what? which is the oldest then?
I like the actor.. He really is one of the finest actors they way he gets into each of the characters he plays it's really worth watching

I've never seen a Bollywood movie ...but this ...was simply BRILLIANT!!
Such PASSION and so well made.
Bravo...
Agreed, this is the best part of the movie in my humble opinion. The rest of it was a typical Bollywood remake of Romeo and Juliet, nothing too exciting.
Asha Mae lol it was billed as a Romeo and Juliette tale...it's not "typical".
Dawn2Dusk23 D
I am still bowled over how they got such amszing shots and cinematography
The fucking version of Romeo and Juliet ever made 🥵🤮🤧😬🤢👎
