I went to dollar general and got a cheap $10 plastic pool. Washed it down then placed it down hear the feeder. dug a shallow hole and used the shoveled dirt to pile around the sides. Only took 3 days for them to get used to it and use it. I keep a 1.5ft stick of copper in the bottom to kill any algae and bacteria that may grow in the water, although it's a mostly shaded property

Hunting here in south Ohio unfortunately, dealing with the worst drought I’ve experienced in my life public land hunter so can’t put my own water in, but definitely water will be a key this year

There's so much stuff out there now for the top side that you really don't have to worry about the underneath plot boost all the micronutrient stuff that has surfactant in it that sticks to the leaves so the plant takes it in from the top I personally use antler grow which is a micronutrient and do nothing with the soil

It has been dry the last couple years. I have had a 200 gallon tank buried and had to top it off once in the last five years..

Deer eat all kinds of weeds. One thing to battle over natural (mow and let grow) food plots is being overcome with briars. Briars can be become so thick that a field or plot can become unusable to just about all huntable wildlife.
