    Thank you sir for sharing your knowledge and expertise. Tanong ko lang... Necessary po ba na magkaroon ng top at bottom ring beams or supports doon sa interface between dome and vertical shells?
    If necessary, kinddly share din kung paano idesign ito. Maraming salamat.

    Practically, the term Dome shape head is not used in actual practice, we used Hemispherical Head and 2:1 Semi Elliptical Head (as per ASME / UL-142 Standards) pressure vessels and Horizontal Tank. for above Ground Oil Storage Tank, it is normally dome type calculated from 1.2D (as per API 650 /620). in calculation, we always considered mean diameter or mean radius. another important aspect.. the term Tank is applied for below atmospheric pressure while Pressure Vessel is above atmospheric pressure (Different principle and thickness formulas used in ASME and API Standard and not the same).
