Chicago will riot if they pass on Demidov. Lots of polls amongst fans, 75-80% of Chicago fans WANT Demidov. It will be an insanely disappointing pick if they reach for Levshunov. Chicago is paying Seth Jones 9.5 million for the next 6 seasons. We have time to find a Right shot D man.
This isn’t mentioned enough^ whether we like it or not Seth’s here for 6 more years. More than enough time to find our 1D of the future in that span. Would be a generational mistake to pass on Demidov for Levshunov.
This is “group-think” at its finest suggesting the Blackhawks should take a lower-level prospect like Leshunov because of positional value. Kyle Davidson always draft the highest player available. Stick to the plan. Draft Demidov!!

I think because we have such a threat in Bedard everyone thinks we need to address the defense but I think we will have a chance to address the defense with a second first pick

The No. 1 weakness in the Chicago Blackhawks is not the lack of a premier RHD. It is having a non-existent power play and the worst offense in the NHL. For the love of gawd, don't outthink this. Get a winger who can score goals and work alongside Connor Bedard.
As a Capitals fan, I am worried that we'll take Connelly. I would be happier with Chernyshov, even though he doesn't have Connelly's scoring upside. I would also be happy with Hage. I think Yakemchuk will be gone by that time. I think there's a good chance that we'll pick Jiricek. It's an interesting idea trading for McGroarty. I think Winnipeg would be more interested in a package centered on Lapierre or McMichael than on the 17th overall pick. Maybe even a package centered on Dowd (that's what I would prefer as Dowd has just one year left on his contract and he's older, but he's a very low priced very good fourth line center). The Capitals have one more center than they need, and trading one of them for McGroarty makes more sense. Winnipeg is more interested in winning now than they are in acquiring draft picks.
Anaheim Ducks will be taking Demidov since Anaheim got screwed on Bedard and Crosby. What should happen is Chicago gets their picks taken away from the scandals
Please explain to me how Anaheim specifically got screwed on Crosby. They had worse odds than PIT, CBJ, BUF, & NYR. (All Equal) CBJ fell to 6, BUF to 11 and NYR to 16. Not only did they get a much better pick than these 3 teams. They also jumped to 2nd with equal odds as 9 other teams. CGY fell to 26 with the same odds as Anaheim.

Exactly now if we was drafting 1st they wouldn’t be saying we need a Defenseman they would say take Macklin BPA it’s the same at 2

We don’t want Leshunov. My Blackhawks have no scoring threats outside of Connor Bedard. Draft Demidov and add an elite player to our first line!
