My pal wanted to see how his Camaro faired against a few Street Mustangs... Oh how he wished he'd bought & brought an LS1 to this Street Fight lol.
Those interested and wondering what the Mustang is packing... it is a standard bore 5.0 liter 302 with Heads, Cam & Intake... and pretty much all other supporting bolt-on modifications, gears, etc... your basic 12 second street-stang. There’s are video on here of It running 12.9

@@pedrobecerra5745 no, and everyone is using turbo mufflers like Magnaflow and also obnoxious straight through style or glasspack Cherry Bombs. I just love the chambered mufflers like Flowmaster, especially with an X-pipe.

@03basesedan stock for stock the 5.7 LT1 is faster than the 5.0 EFI. This Mustang has many mods to do whats its doing. You need heads, cam intake and bolt-ons to get this Mustang to 300hp (at the wheels) later, we added a few basic bolt-ons to make the Camaro produce that type power. Just imagine what heads and cam would do on the LT1...
And then the optispark goes out ruins the water pump in the process.

Bmtp27 I'd build a 5.0 over a 4.6 allday and spend less have just much power if not more and the 5.0 looks better. This is from a mustang guy aswell

I love chevy's but that's a mean 5.0. Just picked up a 91 hatch 5.0 recently. Was literally given to me (great price) by a family friend. I couldn't pass it up. Took it straight to a trusted mechanic to go over her and see if she needed anything. I live in a condo building so there's no mechanic work allowed. Already had some work done to her: Intake, MSD StreetFire coil, exhaust work, kyb struts, springs, and clutch upgrade (stage unknown but heavy). Waiting for my gauges to come in. See video

It's crazy to think that back in the late 80s and 90s the 5.0 was one of the fastests car's on the road.My 87 GT 5.0 ran a 14.1 at 100mph with just exhaust stock everything besides the exhaust completely stock.Fast forward to 2019 my Shelby supersnake is capable of low 10s high 9s.My fastest car to date is my 08 gt500 and the car ran a 9.77 at 144mph.But that car has a ton done to the car.My Supersnakes are dead stock.
Wow that's a quick foxbody gotta love the sound of those 5.0s..but I'm a chevy guy and I still like that lt1 baby
@A4Eaton I'm getting up there in age (I'll be 40 this summer) and don't get out on the streets like I did back in the 1980's and 90's... so most of the current and future Cobra footage you will be seeing will be from sanctioned road racing events are at the tracks.
A good bit of the street racing footage on here is stuff I captured when I was younger... not saying that I won't be uploading any "street footage", just not as much for now, at least until my kids grow up, then I'll have more time.

Couldnt help but notice stock camaro vs full bolt ons (at least) fox body. Not hating, I've owned both and love me some foxes too. Thats why I've owned 3 of them.
I stand corrected at least you have proof of it too, your track must be pretty nice compared to the one we have here in Wichita Kansas cause I've only seen stroked 5.0's like 347's run anywhere close to that with only like four more mph over yours

Early 90s. After 93 mustangs all suck. Too heavy. My 79 lx coupe looked lame as hell with 14" steel wheels and a white vynil roof but the guys with 1980 camaros with 305 and 350 didnt stand a chance. All heavy slow junk. But anyways good times. My friends 93 camaro was fast stock and gave the 93 mustangs a good fight as it hooked up well. That was my first utube comment reply.. its all fun guys no matter what you have if your wrenching and racing.

Mustang seats up to 04 suck. they don't sit right. just on a reg drive my head is a mile from the headrest.
I have a 95 and most Fox and Sn95 mustangs have a problem with the shifter being way too forward. You have to lean forward to go into and out of 1 3 and five. Even with my short legs and really far forward driving position I still have to leave forward a bit

Notchback coupe is couple hundred pounds lighter so yeah, it would be quicker than heavily optioned GT.

+Charles Smith Oh I know you weren't stating it negatively, I just had to share my opinion about Borla because they are in my top 3 mufflers. There's only a few types of mufflers that I will run on a Mustang. Flowmaster, Borla and MAC.

That's a heavily modded stang. The camaro did not. We all know a stock lt-1 would dog a stock 5.0.

SpotTheSteez I like the stang that guy knows how to drive it and his ride is hooked up real nice I like but lets not get it twisted that 5 liter ford was very well modded the lt1 was produced to kill 5 liters and thats what they did with no problem the camaro was still basically stock , regular street tires,stock gear 3.23,no shift kit,no stall,, if it had drag radials,shift kit,3.73 gear then the outcome would have been different but it is what it is the guy in the camaro really wasnt ready he should have paid attention to the things that he needed but yhat stang is sweet I like it

+Patrick Green Don't put it off too long. Now is the window of opportunity for these cars, as prices haven't shot up overnight which is what will surely happen. Most likely sometime within the next 10 years give or take, the market value on a clean factory 5.0 (V8) Fox-Mustang will double .... I say factory V8 as in "non 5.0 swapped ex-4cyl car". The '93 SVT Cobra, Saleen models and SSP police coupes will of course be the high end collector models.

Few things I want to do:
1. Five lug conversion
2. Suspension
3. A little audio work
4. Interior sprucing up and exterior needs new paint
5. Lastly....5.8L swap with a 6spd.
I done all those mods plus a blower! It’s a fun car

in those years they were super light actually at that time they were the lightest american rear wheel drive sports cars that was a huge advantage over the camaros then and theses body style s are lighter than the ones of today

cody troyer I like those year mustangs to but in this paticular case the mustang is more heavily modded with a manual and a nice gear on the other hand the camaro was tickled with lightly and I bet I t has stock gear 3.23 with stock automatic and as you can see on regular bullshit street tires , so take all of that into account,if they would have just thrown a shift kit in the camaro and a 3.73 with some radials it would definitely be a different story but I like that mustang as well that guy knows how to drive it
I need to know the suspension set up on the stang. Also wheel and tire sizes. That thing is set up to perfection
