"Space China" is said as such a declaration. Like you know what it is. Wonderful.

“DOCTOR, DOCTOR, I CAN SEE WHERE MY HOUSE WILL BE! THE TITANIC IS GOING TO FALL ON MY WINDOWS AND MY PLATES, DOCTOR!!!”
    - Elseworld Mr Cooper (probably)

I used to think that this episode was really well done in terms of tying up all the loose strands, as The Master was still trapped at the end of the Universe and the Doctor’s crew hadn’t drawn attention to the watch for him or caused him to think about time travel, so when the same scene with the Tank plays, there are no longer “orders from Mr Saxon,” and a bunch of things like that which I thought really made the episode come together considering where they’d left off.
But… nah you’re right that there’s many more problems they didn’t, and arguably couldn’t, address. 😂😂😂
Shakespeare would never have defeated the Carrionites without the Doctor and Martha giving him the courage to.
The Cult of Skaro were arguably stuck until the Doctor helped them finish their tech for the solar flare but… they’d still exist. They were emergency temporal shifted out, so there’s no reason they wouldn’t keep building their army and trying until they got it right.
Lazarus was arguably financed by Saxon but it seems like there was more than enough money there to get his experiment going anyway so his terrible CGI should still be terrifying the people of London to this day.
Fires of Pompeii made it explicitly clear the Doctor caused history himself by causing the eruption so all of history shouldn’t exist if the Pyrovillians destroyed humanity 2,000 years ago.
Agatha Christie should probably be dead if the Doctor and Donna didn’t intervene, but there’s also no clear divergence point so this would probably have been the easiest to address. Add in a throwaway line about how she disappeared and was never seen again and her death remains unresolved.
The Titanic and Sontarans were focal points of the episode and everything else happened in the future so isn’t relevant to this story but yeah, those points in between Runaway Bride and Turn Left absolutely needed addressing in the story when they just weren’t.
And that’s _just_ counting the Doctor Who episodes. Cos there’s absolutely nothing stopping the Ancient Lights using Martin Truman to take over the universe with no Luke to break the circuit or any of the other events that happened after S1 of SJA and Torchwood too. 🤣

The haunted house episode was supposed to be midnight not turn left, i'm up to that part in the writers tale now. Turn left was always in the series 4 plan from the beginning

In the leadup to the main Flashpoint Event - or maybe just the end of that event, I don’t really remember - DC published a bunch of comics set in that elseworld Barry created to document the history and lore of that world and how it’s different from the mainline DC universe, so Thomas Wayne’s distance from the rest of the league, the Atlantis-Amazonian war, Cyborg leads the JL, Superman was captured as a baby and so on. The point being to flesh out the world that had been created and give some depth to it so it wasn’t just “This will all get erased in the end, who cares,” in the minds of comic readers but also to reinforce why restoring the original timeline was so important, even at Barry’s personal cost. Some people liked those comics, some thought they were boring, but that’s not the point.
The point is that you could very easily do series upon series following the characters of that world in Big Finish. I don’t really think there’s the appetite for anything more than that but certainly audio dramas are the best place to really flesh out some concepts which were slotted nicely into this one episode but not given much more than some throaway lines. So how UNIT reacted to the Titanic Event, the Torchwood Crew, the SJA gang,* and so forth. Showing how all these events unfolded and impacted people on a daily basis and why it was so important that this timeline never came to pass.
Or not even this particular timeline, just any time where the Doctor either died or failed and how that would unravel. What would the Master do long term if he hadn’t been stopped by the Countdown, for example? There’s a million DW elseworlds stories they haven’t tackled yet and really should have in Big Finish by now.
    * Ok you couldn’t literally do that now since Elizabeth Sladen passed - RIP - or given Barrowman’s…controversies, but you take the point. At the time, if they wanted to explore this world in more depth, that would have been the forum to do so.

In terms of commentaries, no, probably not. We wanna enjoy them for the first time. But doesn't mean we won't cover them eventually in the future.
