Not that I can recommend loading expensive Portra 400 into what amounts to a toy camera, but I did just that last month and spent an entire roll in one day and one location. Welcome back to the Port Orchard waterfront.
This is Ektar H35, a half-frame simple use type camera loaded with Portra 400, a Kodak Professional film known for having the "world's finest grain at 400 speed". It seems like such a waste of fine grain, but it's all in the name of curiosity and something I've done just because I can, not necessarily because I should have.

Video Camera - Panasonic S5 (Mark 1)
Video Mic - Tascam TM-2X, Movo WMX-1
Audio recorder for supplemental audio - Zoom H1n
Film - Kodak Portra 400 bought back in 2021
Film Camera - Kodak Ektar H35 (Reto Project)
(keep an eye out on B&H's Used Department to save on the cost of a new one, it's honestly not worth the asking price brand new)
this is unbeatable
PORT ORCHARD!!!
I love film, but not at this price.
what did you use to scan the negatives?
Epson Perfection V700 Photo, VueScan, and RawTherapee
Amazing video ❤
That poor Portra 400 roll, it definitely deserved better camera 😂
In all seriousness, a “cheap” Gold or Colorplus is recommended for these cheap toy cameras
this toy is my first film camera 🥲
this toy is my first film camera , but still i use colorplus 200 😅
not everyone could afford a “better” camera 😢 and also compared to my other 2nd hand film cameras, kodak ektar h35 gives me better output
