The different rng in the first chapter actually isn't based on position, but moving the cursor. In GBA FE, random numbers are taken in order from a pre generated list. Whenever the cursor path of movement suddenly switches to a diagonal, it burns a random number from that list to determine whether it will curve up or down. This means that if you're using save states, wiggling the cursor can get you out of bad RNG or be abused to rig crits, etc.
Smart of you to take advantage of all the reaver weapons. Since they increase weapon triangle effects, Lyn is an effective dodge tank, especially after she promotes. One of my favorite things is when I end up using a reaver weapon on another reaver weapon, the effect is even more noticeable, though it's not often you can take advantage of this

This hurts me especially lol; I always grind Serra or Priscilla to level 20 as soon as I possibly can, even on Lyn mode, so my first guiding ring is used to make a mini Jaegan magic unit. Super accuracte, dodgy, and not too strong in the early game, but still keeps up if you continue healing properly
Yeah, Bartre died in ch 12 and Dorcas died in ch 13. When I do these runs they're not necessarily ironmans, but I'm not going to reset for every unit that dies.

Have done this challenge before. Pretty interesting one.
I've done this but that's only because when I first started playing FE, I didn't use healers for my first 3 games

What if units weren't healed between maps either? I guess at that point you could just try for a damageless run.
What is the rule on AI party healing themselves?
