I produced the expert marksman certificate to prove I received the award and they revised my record. This isn't unusual in military service, which is why they have you review your record when you separate. Dave Reichert and his stooges should be ashamed of themselves for sensationalizing this - especially on Memorial Day!! That should tell everyone what kind of man Reichert is and what kind of governor he would be. And don't get me started on the "F" Reichert received on his conservative report card while he misrepresented his constituents in congress. I too am a veteran. Retired as a CMSgt, SERE Specialist. You are supposed to review your records every year! As enlisted it's typically before you test for promotion. As an officer, whenever boards come up. That's on you. There is no excuse for stolen valor. Read the letters from his commanders and peers.

Where have we seen attempts at election interference like this before? So, to summarize, an engineered, coordinated fake narrative is put out to plant a first impression. Once that first impression is planted, it is nearly impossible to correct, it takes 7-10 face to face interventions to change the mind of the public from guilty to innocent in the press. I believe Nancy Pelosi calls this the "Smear and Wrap Up Smear." Psychological Operations...there is this distorted perception...if perception is reality, you distort this reality and then you take this incident and then bring anonymous testimony, lump it in with a reprimand that has damning words with no background to it whatsoever and then later, bring in other things focusing on administrative minutia of military service records, things that no one knows anything about, don't even know the acronyms, but the perception of fraud, the perception of Stolen Valor is created. Then, they have a candidate committee try to take what others would know as Stolen Valor vs medals of Valor, then start to confuse stars or oakleafs on medals and combine distorted perception and change reality. They over generalize things, the sequence of operations feeds the other to get the outcome they want which is to take a complex issue with multiple facets to it like this Warrant Officer process plus a completely different accusation. They pick one, generalize it as guilty and apply it to everything, and present to the public a "binary black or white choice," which in our mind, "Is he guilty or innocent, did he do it or not?" We have this investigative reporter that says it must be true because he's showing us documents and then they generalized that because he said he's guilty of one which he admitted to (signing the Warrant Office form prepared for him by his senior officers,) therefore, he's guilty of everything, and that's really what they've tried to do here. So, this is what you do when you have name brand recognition and money, but you're losing, you attack the opposing candidate. Can someone post a succinct recap? From what I understand so far (30 minutes in) is: - The accusers conflated two separate incidences, the badges/medals confusion, and the Warrant Officer application - The badges were all vetted and checked when Semi switched services - The Warrant Officer application was fluffed up by people other than Semi; it was discovered and the Letter of Reprimand was issued. Semi had 7 days to respond, which he did adequately and the Letter was then sealed. Is that right? I feel like I'm listening to Frank Herbert (author of Dune) who took a *really* long time to say "governor's son gets revenge" :D I'm happy for the long format for people who want the fine details, but someone needs to post a 5 minute recap!
