Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi almost a week after PM Modi won a historic third term in office. The Indian Prime Minister thanked his Pakistani counterpart for the good wishes. Several global leaders attended PM Modi’s swearing-in ceremony in capital New Delhi yesterday. These included Bangladesh's Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, and Nepal's PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal. Maldives' President Mohammad Muizzu, Vice President of Seychelles Ahmed Afif, Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, and Mauritius PM Pravind Jugnauth were also present at PM Modi's oath-taking ceremony. However, no invitation was sent to either China or Pakistan.
