Yes, it is quite good but I noticed a couple of inaccuracies. (1) Ayatollah Khamenei was the president from 1981, but at the time the president position was inconsequential. The prime minister (Mir-Hossein Mousavi) was the head of the executive branch. In fact, from 1981 to 1989, Khamenei was probably the 4th or 5th in terms of influence. (2) Towards the end, it was said that the army is weak. If we consider IRCG as part of army, they are actually quite powerful and they are running almost everything. It is quite likely that the next leader will be an IRCG puppet.

Democratically elected Mossadegh government in the 50s wanted to take back control of its oil and the massive profits transferred to the City by the British. The British with the Americans overthrew the government and installed their puppet the Shah to allow the Anglo-American oil interests to continue stealing the profits from the Iranian oil. The Ayatollah put a stop to that.

The west imposing liberal western democraies on West Asian, Southeast Asian, African, and South American countries is the source of conflict, and will never work because these countries have totally different social, political, economic, religious, and cultures structures and systems. Which 'dictator' has a program called white revolution to liberate its countries women, and distribute land from clergy to the peasants? You mentioned books. Maybe u should read more. Abbas Milani, who was one of the revolutionaries himself has even taken a more favourable approach towards the Shah's rule nowadays.
