I appreciate that you don't want us to get bored with your videos. But I don't think including more manure hauling would put anyone out! I don't pretend to speak for anyone but me, but I tune in to see what's happening on the farm. If it's you and Brent pushing and hauling poop, then that's what we watch. It is nice to see a small dairy expanding and diversifying the heard! good job! I do enjoy hearing about your trips picking up the new cows and the health concerns you have about them. Putting out the hay, whether on the pad or in the barn, is always fun!!
Hi Taylor always enjoy your videos good looking short horn. Been noticing that Brent has a new England accent and you do not are you from there? Happy farming and be safe!!
I think she does a great job. She explains everything in detail and I like that Hard working farmer I couldn't keep up with her and I am in pretty good shape for 67 Besides I think she is cute and has a nice smile
I don’t care if it’s routine or not Tay, I watch every video and if it’s hauling poop, sawdust, or mowing hay it don’t matter to me. You’re just enjoyable and you do a great job talking and filming. Hope ya don’t change a thing and take us along when you can. I look forward to seeing the notification every time you upload. Voted Friday and hope and pray the outcome is what we need. We can’t sustain the way things are going right now. Y’all take care and can’t wait for the next video already!
Grew up on a dairy farm in PA. Hard work! I left that life for the military and now that I'm older I realize those were some good days. You don't make a lot of money but it built a great work ethic and pride in your job. It takes a special person (and hard worker) to love that life. I enjoy your videos. Thanks for bringing us along.
Yeah not sure you can show too much of anything that involves you or Brent on a tractor, skid steer, Sawdust run, Italian sandwich run, Or well much of anything else. I enjoy all of it because you 2 are just enjoyable to watch! That being said whatever you feel/want is perfect as its your channel. Ill be here for whatever you post!
Really nice young cow Taylor.probably dehorn her when it gets cold . Shorthorns are a favorite of ours. The boys had those for 4 h projects. Are getting a really nice herd of cows now. Good luck with your new additions!!!! Be safe. Ia.
You video what you want to, but I enjoy every part of your work on the farm. How you care for your Girls and your passion for the Land is quite impressive, a special in the times that we are in where people are so harsh and non compassionate to others opinions. Thank you and keep it coming.
As they were driving by the lake Brent, says something about getting a "camp" on that lake etc... Funny, that's what people call a "cabin " in Northern Michigan and the U.P ...
Thanks for sharing another awesome video the new cow looks beautiful looks like she will be a great addition to the herd. Keep making the videos even if they are a bit short take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
Hearing your comment on cows mostly taking mostly random spots reminded me when I was a kid with my grandfather at his dairy how fascinated I was that every cow went to exactly the same spot every time in the barn It was a a stanchion barn, he milked about 40 head. Really enjoy your content ❤
Thanks for the video! Always great to see what's happening on the farm. The new Shorthorn you folks have added looks happy and glad to have landed - another good addition! Have a nice day! 😀
Hi again Tay. It's har d to believe(not it's not 😊😊) that their is soooo much interesting stuff for us normal folks and professional farmers to appreciate. Been a very interesting video. Keep em coming. Take care you guys MARK uk
Just found your channel and am binge watching your videos. In a way you remind me of my niece she is in Veterinary University for another year and a half, she is already a vet tech and travelled with our farm vet from the time she was nine. She wanted to be a vet from the time she was five. That’s what reminds me of you the dedication to what she wants to do.
Good morning Taylor. It doesn’t matter how long your videos are because you always have some great content. You sure have a great assortment of different breeds of cows for your herd and that beautiful new cow ads to that. A while back you gave us a preview of what your future plans are for your farm and it’s great to see that coming to fruition as you get the kind of cattle that are hardy for your area. Keep your eye on that bull because you never know when their behavior changes. 🐄🚜☕️🍩
The foliage there is looking beautiful right now 👍👍👍. Very glad to see the barn filling up again 👍. Your knowledge of cows never ceases to amaze me youngin 👍. Everyone in Northeast Arkansas says hey Taylor especially Miriam 👍👍👍🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙏🙏🙏🙏🚜🐄. Prayers for you and Brent and your family always 🙏🙏
cool horns on the milking shorthorn! I need the prices to come down so I can maybe buy one oR a Ayrsher. which one is YOUR favorite taylor? Its funny you never have trouble with any of the cows backing out when you chain them in.
Cows ( I'm told ) are creatures of habit. They have their own seniority system. Fight for their spot in the stall. Some of you may have noticed that they follow a path to and from the field. Called a "cow path" . lol. Unless they are in a hurry, follow the "Boss " cow to and from the barn. Sometimes single file. I can't see too much of that on your farm. Maybe I just haven't seen it yet. Nice looking herd.
Good morning Taylor paying just a little more attention to your new livestock at key times can help them reach their true life long production potential, have a great day.
Another great video, sweetie. The new cow looks nice. Hope all is going well. I’m glad you’re getting the manure spread. Stay safe.🤗 I’m stuck home recovering from rotator cuff surgery so I haven’t been very pleasant this week lol
Would like to see your version of a visit to a local farming exibit on new technology for dairy farms. It would be curious to see what is new out there to make this industry more easy and profitable.
Great to see you have a full barn. That must mean that the milk prices aren't too bad, and you'll be making some profit. Dairy farms are dependent on the milk price, and you can sell the occasional cow or calf. I wish you all the success. I am surprised that dairy farmers still utilize milking shorthorns. They are always on the low end of milk production.
Milk prices are terrible for the independent small dairy farm. Blame it on factory, industrial dairy 'farms?'. Here in neighboring New Hampshire my neighbor farmer was milking 75 cows three years ago. Now it's down to 30. They are transitioning to beef production and selling baled hay to locals. They also have modest pork sales out of their farm store, with fresh milk. Milk economics is failing for family farms. Research the milk market and Hood. It's a sad time.
@@johndeere1951a I can relate. I live in Wisconsin and we sold off our Holstein dairy herd in 1979. We had 45 milking cows, and we just couldn't make money. We just stopped farming and just rent out the 200 acres of land.
I know winter is coming on, making things a little tougher... However, we will be right here with you. I remember milking years ago... when it got cold, we would simply get closer in to the cow where it was warmer... Hahaha
Horned cows are a pain. I would band them when she dries up. Takes about 6 to 10 weeks to fall off. As long as she doesn't have to go into a stanchion.
Great video, as usual! But I do have one question, how does the manure get from the dairy barn into the manure pit? I see the barn cleaner running, but I never see where it ends up. When I worked on dairy farms growing up, the barn cleaner ran the manure directly into a manure spreader, I don't see that at your operation. Thanks!
Hi Taylor, always in joy your videos, I’m surprised that you don’t spread that hay manure on the new to be corn fields or on that other corn field just to get that pit cleaned out for the winter
More of everything please, eventhough I've done all the things you do its never boring watching someone else who loves their work do it. I would like to know how you get paid for the cows that you buy?
Thanks for the video(s), I greatly appreciate and enjoy them. I would like to send you and Brent a little something from Iowa and would appreciate your address. Thanks, Jeff Burlage

Exciting to see a full barn and a milking shorthorn!! Good looking young cow!
Beautiful scenery. Almost enough to make me want to move to Maine. This Nelson wouldn't mind being petted either. LOL
Love your farm also. I like to see old Farmalls work.
Love the videos! All the best to you Miss Taylor and Mr. Brent!

Oh cool, looks like Moxie is going to be a great addition to the herd. Thanks for another great video, Taylor.

Hello Taylor when we were milking cows "tie stall" they all went to there own spot. We milked 70 80 cows. I enjoy your videos thankyou

Milk prices are less now than in the late 70s and 80s. Everything cost 10 times as much sadly 😢 tough times and hard work 💪 😊
Nice addition to your herd always thought Milking Shorthorn was a good easy going breed of dairy cattle.
Ah, they're all interesting!
Love the new cow . Thanks again for sharing your and Brent life on a farm.
Great video Taylor and Brent
Wishing you folks and the girl’s a smooth winter. Hopefully it goes by uneventful and quickly (like summer just did😢)

Morning Taylor
Great job with Moxi glad to see the girls so excited to come in ! Keep up the great work keep farming !
I'd love to have a Heifer out of Moxie & a Beef Bull, preferably a Red Breed. Nice Purchase!
