Very nice video. Regarding your use of the polygon: remember that you will have an absolute position shift in the polygon from the GCP based map to the one without. Instead layout GCP targets as point references for your polygon. These targets should not be used for reconstruction of course. This will get you a better and truer comparison.
Thanks, in my Experience i wouldnt say that GCPs are 'Absolutely' needed, but its more of a Job Specific requirement, depending on the task. GCPs will also help more with Orientation, Scale Factoring and Geographic Coordination.
I think, if we only want to know the volume of stockpiles, we dont need GCP. But if we want to generate contour for infrastructure design, GCP is a must.
It's not quite clear to me. Is the video saying that stockpiles can be accurately measured without gcps but that would require rtk? If we don't have rtk or gcps how accurate should we expect stockpile measurements to be? I don't understand why rtk would really make any difference for relative accuracy. I believe that for aligning the photos, the software uses tie points rather than GPS coordinates. Is that correct? If so, this should work without any GPS coordinates whatsoever, no? Thanks!
Hi, Yes Volumes will be Affected. For Example if Processing a Dense Cloud in ULTRA High, a Ratio of 1:1 Points will be created. However if Processing a Dense Cloud in LOWEST, a Ratio of 1:16 is Produced. This means that for a 1 Million Point Cloud, then only 62,500 Points will be Produced. So this will Affect Volume.

Great video
Amazing video, highly informative, thank you :)
Really impressive video !! I assume that GCP’s are absoluetly needed if the drone doesn’t have RTK ?

Very interesting but the high level of music sound does not allow to hear well.
Hopefully subtiles help.
Please reduce next time.
nice footage, directly on point, answering questions i had. music is a bit too prominent in the video 👍
Awesome, thank you!
Can we add GCPs on top of building

Hello, does the quality of the process matters for volume calculation? I mean, process the images with "ultra high" quality.

Anoying music in your video. The rest is ok
Music a bit too loud
