If everything goes fine, do we still have to load the files and the backup to erpnext 15 manually ourselves? Or is getting the backup just for bad scenerios?
V14 is I think supported until end of 2024, thats when I plan to upgrade, I am thinking it might be more ready till than with less bugs, more mature features and so on

if i upgraded from 14 to 15 what will happen to custom fields,models functions and code ? what about system configurations ? will it reset to default or will be transfered?
That depends on how you did the customizations. if you have a custom app that contains all the customizations, you will not lose them. However, if the customizations are inside ERPNext or Frappe, you may lose them. The configurations will not be lost either way, because they are stored in your database.
Hello, upgrade went well and I was able to access the sites but once I restarted the server (sudo reboot) then sites are not available. Any recommendation?

Thank you. Happy to hear it helped. Its good practice to stop bench when doing the update. When all is done, you don't need to restore the backup.
