I agree with the first theory! But also in the MV I feel as if they were talking to one another as if they were in a relationship. The cafe scene made me realise that Key was waiting for someone (maybe Taeyeon) but her feelings were too much on the edge that's why she walked way. I think that the message of the MV is no matter how relationships end, someone or both people will get hurt, even if they don't show it. Some may be happy after a while, but some may still want the other person. The lyrics " Hate and I Hate That..." shows that that being in a relationship can make a person stronger or weaker. Remember Any Relationship Can Hurt Someone To A Point That They Can't Trust To Love Somone Else.
