as a nothing phone 2 user i would say wait at least 2 years more because there are a lot of basic small things missing here and there as they are new in the market but yes the software is definitely smooth and snappy even more responsible and snappier than my iphone 13.

Not at all surprised. Great video, but I'd suggest you clarify that the redmi note 13 pro has a 1.5k resolution display (which you can't set to 1080p) and it runs warmer coz of Samsung made sd 7s gen 2 processor. Both nothing 2a and redmi note 13 pro are great phones for the price.
This is the only i channel i know that uses mobile data drain battery drain test. Earned a Sub❤

This is the most helpful battery drain test for me. I'm always on data most of the time and most the test I see is on wifi
Most of the tests are on WiFi with no active sim card inside. I'm glad my video helps

Those low power chips definitely have the battery life advantage. Some other phones are that ways as well, even 3d stress test sips battery.

Nothing phone 2 chip is not a low power chip. It's an optimized mid range chip

The iPhone 15 gets 9hrs (not extreme test) which is more than enough for most. + this phone has a far smaller battery than all the others.
@@TheGaang Well, it lost quite hard against the other's. Didn't change the fact that it was doing even worse than the Pixel 8, which doesn't have amazing battery life either.

as a nothing phone 2 user i love the battery life,
normally i get only 1 day battery but i use my phone for 8h+ easily.
once i used it like a normal person when i went to meet my grandmother, i had almost 60% with like 4h of use

Apple's version of qualcomm's modem somehow uses that much test. I notice a similar thing with my SE 2020 where on wifi the battery life is AT LEAST double. I do understand that cellular data uses more battery but THAT much more? It's either the modem, iOS or the (lack of) bands to "capture" cellular data.
I bought the nothing phone 2a battery is top notch abd software optimisation is next level u can easily bet on this phone for this price it will easily last for 3 years without any issues 🙌🏻
And battery is now even more optimized after the update. Crazy🔥🔥

I own an iPhone 14 and the battery lasts me a day of inteensive use without any problem. Even though the iPhone 14 has a refresh rate screen at 60 HZ, it was the best-selling smartphone model in the world in 2023.

The optimization of the 2a looks great. I did not expect the battery ON LTE to be this insane! I barely get this much SOT on WiFi and on non video packed apps.

Don't know how is it come to my suggestion. But your test is the best. 99% battery drain test is done with no sim/wifi condition where the most important thing of a chipset got ignored. You have did it. Do the same comparison between the nothing phone 2a and iqoo z9. And use 5g if possible.
I don't have access to iqoo devices, and I only get 5G indoors for now.

The iPhone is a 2023 phone so has the older less efficient X65 modem, whilst 2024 phones have the X70 which is up to 20% more efficient and also more performant.

Nothing has provided only ufs 2.2 for all storage options to cut the costs.
You won't feel any showdowns as they did some serious software tricks to optimize the overall experience. According to Nothing, 2a will have a faster read and write speed than the competition.
