Advice from a grey-beard to youngsters today. Attend live concerts of your favorite musical acts whenever you can. The things that you have, cars, clothes, gadgets will be long forgotten. But the concerts will be forever memories that you'll cherish. Bands break up. Members pass away. See them live now. You might not get another chance.

The whole stucture of this song is genius. Steve Howe's acoustic 12 string virtuosity playing perfect, the late Chris Squire with his dominant bass introduction for Howe to deliver the chordal piece and then Jon Anderson. My God, there is nothing like YES. Thank God I grew up with this music and band.

This music STILL amazes me after all these years. I mean, WHERE did they come up with this stuff? What musical god inspired them to evolve a sound that is so singularly iconic??? And it never ever ever gets old or any less amazing. Like so many commenting here, I was blessed to see Yes live many times in my life...too many times to count. They are definitely part of the soundtrack of my life. I love them so much.

We really did have superior music back in the day. The variety... the talent.. the uniqueness.. the artistry. Each group had its signature sound, and YES was soooo true to such distinctiveness. Probably my biggest regret in life... I had a ticket to see Yes in Louisville in 1979 and got the flu the day before the show. Sick as a dog with a fever so I couldn't go. All my friends (and brother) raved about the show and tormented me with their "In The Round" T-Shirts for years. I got the last laugh though when I got to see Wakeman play a 200 seat bar in Abu Dhabi at "The Club" in the mid 2000s. It was great because he joined everyone at the pub afterward (drinking only water) and we talked till the wee hours. Great memory with one of, if not THE greatest keyboard player ever. Regaled us with stories about being uncredited and unpaid by Cat Stevens, buying a racehorse from the royal family, living in a windmill in Holland... a night I'll never forget!! Thanks for the music and the memories and congrats Sir Rick for being named a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire!

I actually went to that show in Louisville (1979) along with my wife and some of her family. I was the designated driver, because I was never a drug user. That was the most awesome concert I have ever seen. The light show was spectacular. I kept thinking throughout the show that I saw a harp elevated on a platform in the shadows. Then, later in the show, the spotlight lit it up and the harpist ascended to the platform it was sitting on. I don't recall who played it, but I think it may have been Jon Anderson.

This song blew my young mind at 13. It encapsulates some of humanities very few saving graces. Creativity , curiosity and of course , love. Anderson reaching out to the cosmos for higher wisdom, then looking back at himself and us for appreciation and reflection.Hope in a future governed by reason over superstition. And in one of music's most serendipitous moments, finds himself in a band filled with the brightest and most talented musicians to score it perfectly.

My favorite Yes track ever! And You and I what a song! Written by the fabulous trio Anderson-Howe-Bruford! :)

@@stephaniegaines9190 Yeah, was gonna say. Not really sure Bruford did anything other than what he was told. From what I've read, he was bored shitless by the constant repetition. Squire was awesome. I saw Anderson-Bruford-Wakeman-Howe live, it was really bad (great anyway though, haha) because they had the bass buried in the mix.

@@stephaniegaines9190 The studio mix of the bass in particular is very very great.

@@stephaniegaines9190 The bass should be so phat everyone can sit on it and kick their feet and hang out, like on a dock. It's impossible for it to drown other stuff out if done right.

Close to the Edge followed by Relayer is astounding! No group ever made two albums back to back That could beat this!

Topographic came between Close to the Edge and Relayer! And after that they still had aspirations and could bring out an album called Going for the One......

Posiblemente la mejor versión de esta canción en directo, pasarán 100 años y seguirá sonando igual de bien, las obras de arte no caducan y esto es una maravilla.
