New Breeding Program for Spotted Tree Frogs

Spotted Tree Frogs (Litoria spenceri) have been collected from fire-affected rivers in the Upper Murray and Wonnangatta areas, and 19 are now living at Healesville Sanctuary where it is hoped they will be founders for a new conservation breeding program.

I live south of Chicago near a big forest preserve and we have spotted tree frogs back here. In fact we’ve had more than usual this spring and summer and they sound amazing until one set up housekeeping in my gutters and you could hear that guy for blocks
