Most new fans are not capable to deliver air like old fan, but consume more energy. It is suggested to convert to bldc fan with conversation kit

Things to note:
1. It cost same as buying a new BLDC fan
2. BLDC fans are way lighter then a normal AC fan
3. It won't be able to spin at high speed as the blade and armature is still heavy for it
