    I bought this edger from Tandy and it’s great! I use it every day on all thicknesses of leather and never have any problems. It’s made very well, sturdy and you can fine tune it to anything you’re working on. It’s triple AAA in my book.

    Very nice groover! Works just like the “divider” style groovers made by by CS Osborne & Horseshoe brand by Jeremiah Watt. In addition, Bob Douglas makes a groover as well that is simple and very easy to use. All of those groovers have been available for years.

      Thank you for your comment and letting me know about the other tools. You know as well as I do there are so many manufactures of leather tools on the market. It’s impossible to keep up with them all!

    I bought one at Tandy. Has the Tandy logo on the box with since in small print at the bottom. Haven’t tried all the sizes so this is helpful, thank you.

      thank you for watching. This one was sent to me directly from the company. I like the fact that you can size your stitch groove to the size of your thread. it also gives you many options for decorative grooves.

    Straight lines are easy. Go around a radius. That is where people struggle.

    If the two stitch groovers are used at a 45° angle, they work as advertised. I can see where the one being reviewed could come in handy, however .

    can't a guide arm be made to fit a regular grover to accommodate longer length to prevent mishap?

    • @MichaelMaysLeatherworks
      @MichaelMaysLeatherworks  ปีที่แล้ว

      thank you for your question! yes, if you are a skilled metal worker who can make it, you could make a longer arm. The issue is, most, not all groovers, only have 1 set screw. I like that this has 2. it holds securely regardless of position, and is a ‘Quality’ tool.

    It doesn’t cover the thickness of leather

    Bull if they are sponsoring the video you're getting paid. So your opinion isn't worth spit.

      shows what you know. I’ve never excepted a single dollar for any review. I’ve done on any product. They may have provided the item, but my opinion is my own.
      If my opinion isn’t worth anything, then why are you watching a review video on a leatherworking tool?
