The Handyman and the Nomad may be two of the coolest wagon ever produced...Although they are different..Both are two doors....And both make very cool hot rods...This 1955 Chevrolet Handyman from the 2019 SEMA Show is covered in a bronzy color paint that it wears very well..The body mods are minimal and it still wears all it's trim and even the door handles...Wheels are always a personal choice and the ones this 1955 Chevrolet Handyman Wagon from the 2019 SEMA Show wears works for Me...18's on the front....20's on the rear . Stance is king and the ride Tech Air Ride System had this 1955 Chevrolet Handyman Wagon setting perfect at the 2019 SEMA Show..Pro Auto Custom Interiors by Steve Holcomb built a very cool all leather custom interior that fits the build very well....Under the hood there is a supercharged LT4 connect and cruise from GM Performance mated at their 8 speed transmission..This 55 Handyman Wagon from the 2019 SEMA Show is one that will have you dreaming of cruising the coast somewhere....It did Me...Check it out!!!

There are actually quite a few differences between a Nomad and a Handyman.........the Nomad does not have a top door frame above the window...it's done hardtop style, whereas the Handyman does.......the B-pillar of the Nomad has a forward rake, the Handyman B-pillar is straight vertical.....the rear seat windows on the Nomad are horizontal sliders, the Handyman's are regular type, but they only rolled down if it was the 210 trim level, or you special ordered it for your 150 trim level Handyman.....the Handyman had a C-pillar, the Nomad did not....that's why it has those subtle "ditches" molded across into the back section of the roof panel...to help strengthen it against body torsion for the lack of that C-pillar, the Handyman roof is fully smooth........lastly, the Nomad has a very forward raked rear gate clamshell with vertical strip moldings on the lower gate, when compared to the handyman, which does not.
The Nomad ONLY came in the BelAir trim level...the Handyman was only
available in 150 or 210 trim levels.
As long as I'm at it 😉, the 4-door wagons of the Tri-Fives were available in all three trim levels, however, those that were NOT of the BelAir variety (150, 210) were called
"Tradesman".
That being said.....while I don't really care for the modernized custom interiors on these cars, because I REALLY love a well-done original style (They just seem out of place to me...like a mismatch...just my personal preference), I do respect the work, as it is REALLY well done, both outside AND inside.....and it sounds outstanding, mechanically!

Beautiful wagon. What's the main difference btwn wagon & Nomad? I thought it was a Nomad first look. The leather is artwork.

I believe it's Nomad, 210, then 150. Too to bottom. I don't know I they made a Del Ray in a wagon.

Scotty...so no one still never said what's the difference between the two...a Handyman and a Nomad.
A handyman is just a plain Jane 2 door wagon. It has a thin upright b pillar like a sedan. The Nomad has a wide b pillar that angles to the front of the car from bottom to the top. It also has ridges in the back part of the roof and stainless steel ribbed trim on the tailgate.J
