Brittany Harris I will never go back. I think it’s an info addiction platform. But people don’t know how truly happy you are off it when you stop taking in other peoples useless information garbage addiction or giving out your own. It’s unnatural we have eroded natural privacy to be “one big happy family” over sharing. People used to take special occasion photos and develop them in real Kodak film in albums on the coffee table. It was special and expensive. We would write letters - or even emails and texts are more personable . But social media today is cheap fast fat and crack addict takeaway, people are better off off it. Especially developing kids.

"Fast food" that was nice. I had super natural fast, both times I was told by Holy Spirit to fast, one time 5 days other time 3 day, on water/tea. Did not feel hungry at all. Other times when I decided to fast even one day, its always hard, and feel hungry by midday. So its really important to step with faith when Holy Spirit tells you to do it, even if you never done 3 days.

I fasted and i refused to drink water even tho i can, i then read the daily bread book and the topic was about JESUS’ conversation with the samaritan woman beside the well. JESUS said that whoever seeks Him shall not thirst but He will spring up flowing water in their hearts. I just felt touched right after i read that.
im doing a 4 day fast tomorrow w/ 1 meal a day (plus a small snack in the morning for my medication) and no internet. i need God to break my internet addiction so i can devote myself to Him and not my computer, im really excited for what He's gonna do in my life and those im praying for :)
We should not complicate fasting into something else. God taught His children to fast in Deuteronomy 8:3. Fasting is to humble the dictating flesh that we oftentimes allow to set the tone and direction for our sustenance in life. Fasting is to make the proud and dictating flesh starve a bit to remind us that man's existence is much more dependent on what God says it would be rather than survival on the basis of merely meeting the needs of the flesh alone. So when we take it upon ourselves to fast on our own, it is a humble way of telling God that we acknowledge the supremacy of His sovereign word upon our lives as well as desire the blessing or intervention it brings to us above typically meeting the material needs of our flesh (in agreement with Deuteronomy 8:11 - 20).

My biggest pet peeve is when pastors/people say don't fast without consulting your doctor. The Lord is the one who will lead you to fast and give you the grace to fast, not a doctor. We should consult the Lord first not a doctor.
Fasting works because you are giving priority to the Spiritual rather than the flesh, fasting comes along not only by stopping eating but by ignoring whatever the flesh asks and obeying God in the Spirit. God Bless.

This past week my friends were having finals in their school but since I wasn't taking any classes, I decided to fast as a final for my God. I have read that the early church believers had sanctuaries in their homes and it was known that if you were ill in spirit, soul or body, if you went to one of their houses you would be healed. I read, these people devoted the entire daytime to prayer and fasting, only taking a meal in the evening to sustain the body. I am sure that lifestyle would yield incredible results, if practiced today. However, I haven't seen an assembly yet, where that level of devotion exists. Hopefully that will change in the coming years.
I take my meals only in the evening. I've been doing this from 9th December, 2018 but excluded few celebrations and weekends. But I wasn't sure if it was right until I saw this Video. I'm doing it for restoration of what I've lost. To increase my husband's faith and get myself back to my prayerful life. I'm gonna PUSH. I'm not gonna give up. im fasting too and something in me tells that in the evening its better to eat porridge so i just eat porridge in the the evening and pray worship in the morning and it really feels good and im not weak i feel healthy like i eat a complete meal

Omg, I didn’t research on fasting for spiritual use and this came up on my feed. We had a meeting at our ministry and we were recommended to fast Wednesday’s and Fridays WOW good timing. And Fasted before a retreat for strength and prayers and oh my lord things went well.....waves of life struggles come by and I’m Learning how to fast the right way because it is a learning process in this new path of God that I’m in now . @@mitcholeary5459 The Presence of the Holy Spirit kicks the demon out. The food we eat may feed it or it may not, but the demons thrive on our lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and pride of life. When we fast we are proving to God and satan that we want to deny the flesh and pick up our cross (prioritize the Kingdom of God and His righteousness) every day. Then God shows up in a more intense way and the demon flees because it can't handle His glory and love. Thanks for the encouragement. Jesus definitely doesn't follow the crowd. 😊

Like all things we do, we should be being LED by the Holy Spirit. To say we should fast once or twice a week, or four times a year etc. etc. becomes, yet another LAW unless we are being led by the Holy Spirit. I have heard testimony (which is reliable) of a woman who has only taking beverages for several years now. She got a personal revelation about not living by bread alone. She has not lost any weight, nor has her health suffered. However, if we decided to do the same thing, we would be gong home early.
I have always contradict myself or maybe some other people has also contradicted me with this verse too, James 2:17 " Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself", but yours make me understand and brain-cleared

Praise God I just finished a 50hr 39mins of fasting straight with no food but water!!!! Throughout fasting the Holy Spirit encouraged me to keep going through pass time to break strongholds and breakthrough!!! I breaked my fast with banana & avacado. Thankyou Jesus it is 4:16pm and I will continue my fasting soon. I am on a 3 day fasting. Praise God.

All I know is this..., Jesus fasted for 40 days and by the end of it.., kicked satan in his you know what!!!!! There is definately a power in fasting I am finding, it breaks the power of sin in my life, it brings new Divine Insight, I believe it's just the denial of the flesh, turning a way from wordly things to go deep and spend time with God..., giving up something of this world for Our Heavenly Father God, it shows we are commited to Him and Love Him (for me anyway). But it definately brings an inner strength, as I also am receiving more from speaking in tongues/praying in the Spirit every day too. Thank You Jesus for this message! I usually fast once a month, or once a week but I normally chew chewing_gum or look for something to put in my month just to keep my breath fresh. It also give me some kind of strength....I think I need to depend totally on the Holy- spirit for strength. Thank you so much Pastor David.
Chewing gum while fasting its not a good thing, stomach acid is produced while you chewing, preparing for food to come to the stomach, but when there is no food coming, acid starts eating your stomach from the inside. You can notice that when you go to the bathroom, (sorry for details, its really important), light green foam. Its indicating exciting amount of stomach acid. Its ok to brush your teeth 3, 4 times a day while fasting, or mouthwash. I do have some negative experiences of fasting, and its important to know how start and how to come out of fasting. Maybe David will do a teaching on that as well.
We have to use Wisdom as David mentioned. If necessary drink a tea or a soup to keep you moving. Sometimes I have no need of food because God graces me for it. Supernaturally. But many times I need something to sustain me nutritionally,and thats OK. I too have had VERY bad experiences with fasting b/c Wisdom and Understanding wasnt implemented. Everyone is different dont compare or beat yourself up about it. Dont kill yourself by trying by trying to be a "stunner" in the spirit.
I love this place in the book of Acts 10. Apostle Peter was not fasting, he was just waiting for food to be made. That is why a vision was not clear to him, if you compare it to Cornelius, who was actually fasting ... check this out Acts 10:3-6: "About three o’clock one afternoon he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God who came in and said to him, “Cornelius.” Staring at him and becoming greatly afraid, Cornelius replied, “What is it, Lord?” The angel said … “Your prayers and your acts of charity have gone up as a memorial before God. Now send men to Joppa and summon a man named Simon, who is called Peter. This man is staying as a guest with a man named Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea.”" Fasting make us clearly hear God. He sees angel, clearly knowns its from God. 1. name of the city, and name of the person/even his Christ given name. 2. Name of the person Peter stays in. 3. What the guy do for living. 4. Exact location of the house. What did Peter see? Acts 10:11: "… object something like …" Fasting is good for us. Acts 10:30: "And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me …" God bless you in your lifestyle of seeking God.

Great teaching. Thank you. I would like to add that Yes, we are under the new covenant & all things are new. But also the temple & sacrifices of the old testament are foreshadows of the new believer. Christ purchased all at the cross. We are the temple filled with the Spirit & the atonement sacrifice a finished work in us. But that still leaves the the other sacrifices, peace,fellowship. So sacrificing the fat of our lives on the alter keeps our fire going & allows us to receive the fuller revelation & benefits promised & purchased by Christ. In the measure we turn,is the proportion he responds.

I usually don't eat until I have started the day with the Lord, and I eat when I have peace...it might be a few bites during the day or an evening meal, or not til the next day.

When we fast we are proving to God and satan that we want to deny the flesh and pick up our cross (prioritize the Kingdom of God and His righteousness) every day. Then God shows up in a more intense way and the demon flees because it can't handle His glory and love. Thanks for the encouragement. Jesus definitely doesn't follow the crowd. 😊

Well Taught! Very scriptural. Traditional fasting is with no food
Like all things we do, we should be being LED by the Holy Spirit. To say we should fast once or twice a week, or four times a year etc. etc. becomes, yet another LAW unless we are being led by the Holy Spirit. I have heard testimony (which is reliable) of a woman who has only taking beverages for several years now. She got a personal revelation about not living by bread alone. She has not lost any weight, nor has her health suffered. However, if we decided to do the same thing, we would be gong home early.
Oh! I wish I could do that all my life like that woman u mentioned.
I have always contradict myself or maybe some other people has also contradicted me with this verse too, James 2:17 " Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself", but yours make me understand and brain-cleared

Praise God I just finished a 50hr 39mins of fasting straight with no food but water!!!! Throughout fasting the Holy Spirit encouraged me to keep going through pass time to break strongholds and breakthrough!!! I breaked my fast with banana & avacado. Thankyou Jesus it is 4:16pm and I will continue my fasting soon. I am on a 3 day fasting. Praise God.

All I know is this..., Jesus fasted for 40 days and by the end of it.., kicked satan in his you know what!!!!! There is definately a power in fasting I am finding, it breaks the power of sin in my life, it brings new Divine Insight, I believe it's just the denial of the flesh, turning a way from wordly things to go deep and spend time with God..., giving up something of this world for Our Heavenly Father God, it shows we are commited to Him and Love Him (for me anyway). But it definately brings an inner strength, as I also am receiving more from speaking in tongues/praying in the Spirit every day too. Well, I never gave up food and God and Jesus came to me. Last week was the first time in my life I did 6hour fast for 4 days.
Thank You Jesus for this message! I usually fast once a month, or once a week but I normally chew chewing_gum or look for something to put in my month just to keep my breath fresh. It also give me some kind of strength....I think I need to depend totally on the Holy- spirit for strength. Thank you so much Pastor David.
Chewing gum while fasting its not a good thing, stomach acid is produced while you chewing, preparing for food to come to the stomach, but when there is no food coming, acid starts eating your stomach from the inside. You can notice that when you go to the bathroom, (sorry for details, its really important), light green foam. Its indicating exciting amount of stomach acid.
Its ok to brush your teeth 3, 4 times a day while fasting, or mouthwash.
I do have some negative experiences of fasting, and its important to know how start and how to come out of fasting. Maybe David will do a teaching on that as well.
We have to use Wisdom as David mentioned. If necessary drink a tea or a soup to keep you moving.
Sometimes I have no need of food because God graces me for it. Supernaturally. But many times I need something to sustain me nutritionally,and thats OK.
I too have had VERY bad experiences with fasting b/c Wisdom and Understanding wasnt implemented.
Everyone is different dont compare or beat yourself up about it. Dont kill yourself by trying by trying to be a "stunner" in the spirit.

I love this place in the book of Acts 10.
Apostle Peter was not fasting, he was just waiting for food to be made. That is why a vision was not clear to him, if you compare it to Cornelius, who was actually fasting ... check this out
Acts 10:3-6: "About three o’clock one afternoon he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God who came in and said to him, “Cornelius.” Staring at him and becoming greatly afraid, Cornelius replied, “What is it, Lord?” The angel said … “Your prayers and your acts of charity have gone up as a memorial before God. Now send men to Joppa and summon a man named Simon, who is called Peter. This man is staying as a guest with a man named Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea.”"
Fasting make us clearly hear God.
He sees angel, clearly knowns its from God.
1. name of the city, and name of the person/even his Christ given name.
2. Name of the person Peter stays in.
3. What the guy do for living.
4. Exact location of the house.
What did Peter see?
Acts 10:11: "… object something like …"
Fasting is good for us.
Acts 10:30: "And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me …"

I fast 8 hours every night both food and water 😇
But you spend it sleeping so I don’t think that counts as fasting.
I come to believe it that after someone totally surrender the same the holy Spirit, you can fast without feeling hungry. The holy Spirit has made it for me
4:25 it is a sacrifice, you’re sacrificing something that is valuable to you (food) and God honors that.
Again, The Holy Spirit leads me on the same track with the day your teachings & material are out brother David.

Great teaching. Thank you. I would like to add that Yes, we are under the new covenant & all things are new. But also the temple & sacrifices of the old testament are foreshadows of the new believer. Christ purchased all at the cross. We are the temple filled with the Spirit & the atonement sacrifice a finished work in us. But that still leaves the the other sacrifices, peace,fellowship. So sacrificing the fat of our lives on the alter keeps our fire going & allows us to receive the fuller revelation & benefits promised & purchased by Christ. In the measure we turn,is the proportion he responds.
