I really felt for you trying to line the stencils up.
You should try Lisa Horton's stencils. She has got an apparatus that holds her stencils in the right place and her stencils are really pretty. I'm sure you can easily use the stencils without the thingy. Take a look at her video's

I just LOVE watching you Marion. It’s so great you leave in all the parts trying to figure things out. It helps so much. Honestly, I just won’t even try the layered stencils yet. I get too frustrated and impatient. Thank you for showing the entire process. The card of course turned out beautiful. I do so love Altenew, they have such beautiful products. I’m a huge Catherine Pooler ink fan as well. My collection is growing and I love the colors. Also the sponge ink pads, aren’t they great??

Like this because I have the Peonies Bundle. Yes, I struggled a bit with were to put the stencils. I tool a sharpie and marked over the numbers for the stencil and also along the dividing line. Took a while to figure out the line was dividing the different steps. Do so love the Altenew flowers.
I find myself talking to you when you a trying to figure out where to put the stencil. Ha Ha

I love the work you do, you make me laugh, because I do exactly what you do with laying stencils read instructions after the card is made and then laugh at myself but it all works out in the end lol

I’m glad I am not the only one that struggled with this one. It is that 3rd stencil for both the large and small that I can’t seem to get right!! Love your end result though ❤

Altenew provides a very helpful instructional sheet with their sets that show you how to position your stencils.
If you read the other comments you'll find a lot of people seem to find layered stencils a little on the difficult side even with instructions.
I did find it, but to be honest, I still struggled with it, I’m sure it’s just the way my brain works (or not) 😂😂🥰🥰🥰

Once you have worked out which way the stencil goes can you draw an arrow on the stencil to show which way up for future use maybe. After the day I have had this video cheered me up no end and you are never boring. 😂 Fabulous card. ❤

Beautiful card! Altenew has exquisite stamps, dies, and stencil sets. BUT for me it's way too frustrating trying to line them up. So I've given up purchasing their products.😵💫

This was very hard for me. They needed registration marks. I never got it right!!! You aren’t alone.

Marion, I have a question - why do you artsy/crafty people always cut part of the flower off when you put it on a card? I know it must be the thing to do because everyone does it but why? It hurts me to cut parts of a beautiful flower off! 😅. Is it like the rule of three or something like that? I hate to show my ignorance but I am not very artsy.
It’s purely so that it will fit inside the envelope 🥰🥰
Well I know why you had to cut that one down because it is so big but I have seen countless ladies move a flower over to where the focal point is hanging over the side of the card & they cut the surplus off.
Yes, I suppose it’s called creative licence, I. Sure I’ve done it in the past, it’s great to do if you’ve messed a bit up 😂😂 I often stamp off the card, so you don’t see all of it 🤗🤗🤗🤗@@grannieannie40
